Its acually a ROM hack for a Super Nintendo Emulator. From what I have heard its basicly just "Speedy Gonzoles" (Sp) with sprites of sonic and mario switched out.

But to actually answer your question, no its not a REAL game. I dont even think it would have been possible in 1993.

You can watch my video called Sonic The Hedgehog 4 (SNES) Gameplay Part 5 (RETAKE). It shows you how to jump the big gap that you have to cross in order to continue the game.

It's not the emulator. The original game this was based off had this glitch too. When you get to the button that crashes, go back into the tube, than through again. This will get your speed going. Run toward the edge of the pit at full speed, and instead of hitting the button, you can jump the pit at that point. Go through, press the button, then get killed. You'll be able to continue then.

Hmm to be honest I heard that this game always freezes at a certain level in the game, no matter if you're playing on a cartridge or rom, so I'm pretty sure the game is just unbeatable for the reason that you discovered.

what is your rom version? enter options and see Dumped by TSD or not.. Sorry my english, this not emulator bug, this is a bad version of rom!
