Eritrea and Ethiopia both have vested interests in Somalia. The Eri president would take any opportunity to destabilize the ethio. government, hence his foolish actions, whilst the ethio gov. is going to support the somali transition government and attack all other extremists as they could pose a threat to them by supporting the opposition in the oromo and oganden regions.
