  • dirt bags violence has calmed. the only reason yall think it is not goin to work is because u don't have it in u.

  • well done dumb fuck america, your lying wars have made iraq a living hell, take a bow you scumbag mc'donalds eating fat cunts

  • americans are very good at war with PURPOSE????

  • Colin Powell said, before the Invasion, "If we break it, we own it. It's the Pottery Barn rule."

Bush thought he meant, if we break it, we own the oil...

  • God bless American terrorism!!! I hope we lose this next war with Iran!!!

  • Iraq is the perfect position for U.S. control of the Mid-East. Iran, the only threat in that region, will be covered by the American army, Israel will be protected, oil will be secured.

Afganistan is the perfect position for U.S. to counter any agression from Pakistan, the worlds only Muslim Nuclear power.

The pieces are in place, and are ready to attack, kill, conquer while the world and it's anti-war ideals sit back and watch and not act, because of fear.

  • Yea because protecting Israel is a sin, is it? Let the nazis in the areas in and around slaughter the whole bunch of jews, se what I care. I just sit here at home watching anti-american news eating the shit media craps out. You fucking nazi faggot. I hope you burn in what ever evil pit you we're spawned from...

  • We have to advance the global empire and that means that we will do whatever it takes. One Sadam down because he refused to listen. Now we have to make another that will be america's bitch. That's our gov at work.

  • The american admin knows its not going to work. There is a much bigger agenda that they are working towards. Everything they are working towards will fail.

  • .

One Saddam was a problem, so America took him out...

And in his shadow stand several little wanna-be's.

    Are we safer... YET?

    Mission accomplished?

    .

  • So who was that knucklehead anyway? I'm still not clear. For all we know, he may be a Jordanian or even an American, like Ahmed Chalabi.

  • He is just a likely dude - a knucklehead, who got his ass blown away yesterday. Man, you play this kind of game, you pay this kind of game.

  • the shi'i tribes are in fact following the steps of out hero shlekh abu reashi (may god bless his soul)...

so he is a national hero, and he did more good then ban.. wat since the biggening the moto of al-jazeera was to show the bad side in iraq where ever it can be found!!

if anbar kicked al qaeda then there is the oppretion of shia

-- al jazeera u will always amaze me---

  • This reminds me so much of Bosnia in 91-93.

  • chaykh abdoulsattar abu risha was killed yesterday by terrorists. Is it a coincidence?

  • Great video which gives insight into what is happening in Anbar. What a joke on foolish Americans for believing Bush and Petraeus. Thanks to the journalists.

  • Yes, so much thanks for bringing the light. I am passing this info - the greg palast article about this - around to friends and acquaintances. They gotta look like they're sewing it up over there, but they ain't! It's all bullshit!

  • In other parts of Iraq Sunni's and Shiite live together without problem and polls show almost all Iraqi's say they want Sunni's and Shiite to live peacefully together. However a tiny percentage of extremists do not and right now they tend to dominate. The Mehdi army for example is notorious for expelling Sunni's from their homes in Baghdad, operating death squads etc.

The US military's plan is to get Sunni and Shiite working together in the Iraqi army.

  • It's not gonna work.

  • john lennon was right .... imagine

  • Remember American big media is hampered by two things:

    Show this and your'e "anti-american"

Then there is the fact that they are all commercial. They are moderately informative, but really the news has to be profitable.

Also, many americans really only care about what happens about americans (unless you are an arab-american,i suppose) it's from the standpoint of "when do the troops come home" and "what's at stake for US if we leave"

  • the average CNN and Fox viewer prolly could not grasp the nuances of this story (ie, the tribal conflicts and reverse power play between the Shia and Sunni), which is why we don't get this kind of mature, in-depth coverage on major networks. tragic, really.

  • An absoulutely superb piece of work by people who care to lay bare the truth of what is happening in Iraq.

  • this is a document (really two since the whole is divided into two parts) that everyone watching the farce going on in D.C. called the Petraeus hearings must see, It is telling us what the truth is of what the USA is concocting in terms of its surge results.

  • What is wrong with Iraqi Arabs? why do they keep killing each-other? I'm an Iraqi Kurd and I wish they just stop with all this fighting. They complain about the occupying Americans then they complain about foreign Al-Qaeda and yet they still kill each-other, this is madness!

  • LOADS and LOADS of CASH to be made. The local tribes are like the mafia and the American taxpayer is supporting them. The Bushies are trying to secure the oil so their oil friends will make a ton of cash in Iraq and the Bushies are pumping in taxpayer dollars to "control" the region. The question/answer is: how do you stop a band of cuthroats (Bushies)?

  • ur right my friend this is the thing i dont understsnd, the whole world are laughing at the muslim world and same question in their mind, why muslims are killing each other?i think this is what saddam is saying before his execution:THAT THE WAR HAS JUST BEGUN.correct me if im wrong.assalam alaikum warakmatullahiwabarakatu!!peace!

  • Fascinating report. It breaks my heart and makes me angry. When we all turn that anger and frustratio into organizing against the war, these reports will end.

  • People and power indeed. A refreshing look at the immense complexity on the ground in Iraq today. There are no easy descriptions of this moment and I appreciate the opportunity to explore these issues armed with more information than is usually available to me via mainstream news outlets in America. To the filmmakers- thank you for taking the risks to bring me voices of I generally have no real access to.
