@speedreadingclasses I have not yet watched the fifth video and haven't finished the fourth but this just crossed my mind.. Isn't practicing speed reading the same text over and over considered as "cheating"? I find it natural to show a spontaneous progress regarding the reading speed if you read the same text again instead of a different one.. Please respond, I could use the help since I find it hard to concentrate and the data I have to remember in my medical school is massive! Thank you
I just finished watching the first 3 parts of this seminar and I have not come across a single useful technique. Everything up to now has been fluff, fillers and introductions.
NOW I REMMEBERED EVERYTHING- 90% OF THE INFORMATION ;(((!! :))) i SO HAPPY ON ONE WAY, BUT ANOTHE I AM SO SAD I HAD TO BE SO MUCH EMBRESSED IN FRONT OF MY COLLEGES AND TEACHERS IN MEDICAL SCHOOL :(( THAN YOU SO MUCH I LOVE YOU MAN! YOUve CHANGED MY LIFE :) GOD BLESS YOU !!!
Man, I was waiting this to happening for almost 8 years when I read a nlp book ”Enstein Factor” I didn t get it so much, I was so upset ....dissapointed, tryed over again what I read there...and after that some more times read 3 book...BUT I didn t get it, My mind was so young... But today i bumped in this Video searching how to study efficiently for exam ...And now IM CRYING OF HAPPINiG !! I DID THIS EXERCISE 5 time/page faster and faster on my course of LEGAL MEDICINE! I FINALY GETT ITT! :)
Thank you so much! Your lesson is very helpul and means a lot to me. I've been reading slowly for years and thanks to you won't allow this to hold me back anymore.
this is really helpful this week i have to read 320 pages. this is really helping me to get thru it!!! i work and go to school full time, so any time i can save is very valueable!
I have trouble believing anything less than 400 is the average. All my friends and I can read in a range of about 600-800 WPM. The video is interesting but the numbers are wrong.
@XinBiDe probably because people in your region or just your circle of friends read faster than the average person. me and my friends read from 150 to 200 words a minute i think his numbers are a good estimation
@XinBiDe For someone who reads fast you sure aren't the brightest. "all my friends and i" are from the same demographic and region, and thus are more likely to have similar results. These tests are done across the US. If you think the video has some error, try finding the average wpm from people all over the country first, before making such a ridiculously biased comment.
Here is an interesting YouTube video - Search for "Speed Reading vs. Mental Photography". Fascinating information on how to activate your photographic memory!
I read 4 paragraphs during 50 minutes, and i have practiced speed reading only for 2 days, WOW. It makes my current speed 5 times faster than than the average.

@XinBiDe They aren't wrong..some studies have said that the average could be even less than that, about only 100-150wpm

@XinBiDe That you know the reading rate of your friends tells us more than enough

I think I'm reading faster each successive time as I know the material, getting used to do this, plus I'm more alert than yesterday.
