  • what happens when it rains? how long does it take for a nest to get this big?

  • wheres a flamethrower when you need one

  • THEY CUT IT OPEN WITH A MACHETE!!!

  • I truly hate flying stinging insects... they've attacked me so many times it's hard to remember them all.. even been attacked while rolling down the stairs... they're my worst nightmare... but it's kinda sad watchin such a masterpiece being destroyed...

wasn't a nest... it was THE nest.

    you guys rock!

  • holy fuck!

  • I think the only way to describe this nest is freakin SCARY. minus those suits? certain death for all who venture near.

one yellowjacket hurts like hell, that many? HELL NO. dont even CARE to know. rather shoot myself.

  • I'd love to take a chainsaw to that hive.

  • I deal with those a lot in my lawn care business, but I am playing with baby shit compared to that mother.

  • Sorry bees, your 50 year creation was just destroyed in 2 minutes :)

  • i bet those things are just fucking pissed

  • @mackdub For yellow jackets pissed is the default. We don't have a word for the rage that was directed at those men.

  • This is like the Yellow-Jacket 9/11

  • Imagine if there was a species that could wipe out millions of our lives work/home/existence. and post a vid of it on youtube o_0

  • that billy guy looks like a faggot

  • I bet no ones asked so I have to.... Have you ever been stung? if so, whats it like?

  • @OAXM202 We take stings everyday in this line of work. These yellowjackets provide amongst the most painful wasp/bee stings available, and it's not unusual for the stings to be very painful for 3-4 days. Plus, if one is allergic, serious, life-threatening reactions can occur within 1-3 minutes. Serious stuff for sure.

  • @ALLFloridaBeeRemoval I read somewhere that their feeding on carrion can add a nasty twist to an infection. Some type of bacteria found in rotting meat. I search for it but found no mention of it. Did I dream this or have you heard of it?

  • @lawnsausages I've not heard of incidental horizontal transmission via yellow jackets, but I suppose it's possible. Interesting. Still, I'd venture allergic reactions to venom is more of a threat.

  • You have to admire the little fuckers though. That was some crazy ass structure they built! Impressive indeed.

  • fake and GAY

  • @SuperGilberto1977 um, right. If you're in Central Florida sometime, we can suit you up and show you just how fake it is.

  • QUICK! hand me a flame thrower!!!

  • No.... just...

    No.

  • Damn!

  • thats one of the most outrageous things ive ever seen...

  • bricks have been shat

  • did you get stung at all? the whole day?

  • @themineralbabes I took 3 stings and I think Jason took a dozen or so. Our suits are Sting-Resistant, NOT Sting-Proof, so our personnel cannot be allergic to wasp and bee venom.

  • HOLLLLLY MOLY!!! Epic vid!!

  • Billly was the 1 dislike.

  • Billy looks retarded

  • How they fit in those suits with those balls, I don't know.

  • @Faroskalin One of the best comments. Ever.

  • Absolutely amazing, Yellow Death! How long I wonder would it take this colony to create such a massive hive. I have been stung many times by these little guys when walking over their hive. But colonies like this are extremely dangerous. One last word. BENEDRIL.

  • @1984bornagain more like epi pen... several of them

  • @fenrirwolf5 yup, we actually took benadryl prior to treating the nest. It can help dramatically. And each of our trucks carry 2 epi-pens in our sting kit. This is serious stuff, One sting can kill an allergic individual. We've saved lives b/c of our training and sting kits.

  • Thumbs up if your skin started to crawl watching the video!

  • What's up with Billy?

Does he think he's Rob Zombie?

  • THat guys says they ugly, but i dont think so. Yesterday i got sting by hornet hah

  • @guibicalho and there is audio from the Prairie HOme Companion JJ Grey / Mofro show: on youtube. search for JJ Grey and The Guy's All Star Shoe Band at A Prairie Home Companion: Lochloosa [Front Porch Soul]

  • What is the average charge to remove a nest that size???

  • WOWZA!!!Never seen em that big in the midwest! I am curious as to what pesticide you used? I noticed that your bee hat also had the vent holes covered. I had to do the same exact thing to mine, cause one got in and nailed me. didnt matter to me what the hat looked like with duct tape, just didnt want to get stung again. Best vid ever dudes!!!! Totally awesome!

  • @Wellington5392 If your helmet is right, YJ's can't fit through the ventilation holes.Std. Dadant ventilated helmets will get you stung up, however. thanks for the props!

  • What part of Rockledge did ya'll find that? I grew up there and never saw anything near that massive!

  • @ArchetypeZ28 West of Fiske Blvd.

  • Was the local university interested in any part of the nest for research or collection?

  • @Blueoriontiger No, not at all. It would have made a nice display, but would have been difficult to preserve.

  • CALL IN EXTERMINATUS ON THAT SHIT.

  • @WavyGravyTrain1, This is a perennial nest and is probably around 2-3 years old.. maybe older.

  • Is that nest built in one season or is it many generations of nests built into one?

  • @WavyGravyTrain1 It's a perennial nest, probably about 2-3 years old.

  • @ALLFloridaBeeRemoval Thanks for answering but still you guys are crazy!

  • shoot it or ram it with that truck loooooooool

  • nice!!! what's that song??

  • @guibicalho Bring it on Home to me, Brownie McGhee and Sonny Terry. Love da blues!

  • @ALLFloridaBeeRemoval thanks! great song!... if you like it, listen to Mofro - Lochloosa

  • @guibicalho Thanks, i first heard Lochloosa performed on NPR Prairie Home Companion when GK was in ST. Augustine, FL. Love the song. AND, I live within 10 miles of Lochloosa. Special place indeed.

  • @ALLFloridaBeeRemoval I'm eager to know how big your top ten nests were!

  • @zatchbell622 We've worked enormous V. squamosa nests, reaching up to 20 feet wide. A nest that size can number in the Millions of individual wasps. It's impossible to convey to you what the experience is like. Probably similar to intense battle, though I only offer that as a possible descriptor, as I've never served in the Military.

  • nice
