In defense of the clapping, I have heard the entire audience start clapping at the repeat of the piccolo solo. That guy didn't do it in the right place, but I've always taken it as a compliment. If they're clapping along, they must be really into it.
@lucky7tube not always. It makes you relaxed from stuff like throat noises and tension. You don;t want to be SUPER tense while playing the pic. Hard. Its easy to be tense on the piccolo from the info of having a samll air hole. I play it:)
notice no one is clapping with the person haha i think the only reason they stopped is becuase he noticed no one was joining in or someone said to stop lol

Yes, annoying man clapping. We know the tempo, that's what the conductor is for. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THAT.
