Why I love the Hitman games..was that it was just soo innovative..as compared to other games or shooter games..with Absolution it seems they have murdered the innovativeness of the previous games.

thought there was still a seed of hope, but found out blake dexter isn't the new "agent 47" as I initially assumed; so much for the movie not fucking the game series up'(... agree about your comments on open endedness.... I spent hours looking how to play the game based on various patterns/glitches(till I got the perfect kills, like clock work;P)

in my humble opinion, the very vital ones is the basic gameplay,,the basic hardcore gameplay thats what we want, that is the crucial part of hitman origin

I could live without Bateson and Kyd if the geameplay was right but, doesn't seem it will be. And to all those people saying "You fear change, you just want like a mission pack for Blood Money", well... yes, that's all I want, since BM worked so great.

By the way, I heard that the original team that developed Hitman 1-4 left IO after BM, does anyone know WHERE they went, I mean if they joined another studio or something? We also need a freeware fan-made Hitman Clone urgently.

I didn't like the first three Splinter Cell games. Even if I hided in the shadow they would still find me. Hitman: Blood Money is one of the best games I've played. The other ones were probably pretty good for it's time, but Blood Money is the only old stealth game that i would see as brilliant.

Honestly I think what is most appealing about Blood Money is that you're basically just let loose in a huge playground, missions can be achieved any number of ways for your own enjoyment, with the new 15 minute demo I'm not sure what to think. I realize it was largely action oriented to appeal to people watching, but if they can actually recapture that feeling in this new game I'll probably pick it up.

It still sucks that Kyd and the gang are gone, they left a hole quite large.

500 letters isn't probably enough but I'll try: First off, I felt exactly the way you did. But after several weeks and a closer look again, I'm gaining hope again. Most worrying about Instinct is seeing through walls. But you can't use it forever, and I'd bet you won't be able to use it much on higher difficulties. Mark&Exec doesn't seem confirmed yet? Early demos have always been actiony, and the linearity maybe in part due to a dev showing the game off. David is a huge shame thou :'(

All the footage and or pictures we have seen is agent 47 in absolution is about him attacking armed policemen and in the night. I was astounded an interviewer had to ask if there were any daytime missions. I think there are two ways of playing hitman. The tactical approach which usually ends up for the people armed and looking to kill you. And the silent approach which is just...well it's just hitman. Instinct could work out, you never know. I do agree with hardcore gamers. Damn casual gamers.

Yes I will. They actually put an effort into the game. Name another single game in a series where they worked 5 years to create new a physics engine for a specific game.. You can't say absolution won't be a step up from the previous hitman games that's for sure.

And please don't fall prey to the hype regarding a new physics engine. It's like saying people played Half Life 2 for the see saw puzzles implemented. It's a nice feature, but it's surely not enough to excuse some of the frightening things they've put up for the public eye.

Regardless, it's your opinion and I won't try to ruin the game for you, I hope you can enjoy it; I hope I enjoy it as well when it comes, but right now I'm very uncertain

It's funny how so many developers hype their product nowadays with the same tired buzz words and language, almost verbatim: "We want our game to be more accessible....BUT..." There's a saying that anything someone says after "but" is meaningless. As an oldschool gamer, I'm tired and disappointed in the industry's direction to cater toward the lowest common denominator. Agree 100% with you man, being a huge fan of the Splinter Cell series, I was pissed with what they did to it when making Conviction. You can't do 100% stealth playthroughs in that game, can't hide bodies, no nightvision, no thermal vision, no keypads, no hacking, no split jump, bizarre crouching animation, stupid mark and execute mode. I hope Eidos doesn't do the same with Hitman Absolution.
