  • I knew Tpt. players Bill Stapleton and Joe Rodrigues at N. Texas...they were brilliant as kids....it's amazing how all jazz styles peaked by the mid-1970's....how come we haven't a single new style or original mind since Miles, Coltrane or Jarrett or the 1970's rebirth of big bands?

    Guess Wynton Marsalis helped develop a generation of "Young Fogies"...
