most of them use a 18, or 20 speed gear box, there very easy to drive , most of the time the trailers will follow you just have to check for people who want to over take you, no you dont have to peep your horn for that reason its just a let the driver know you are thanking him for letting them over take safely

the truck company on the video would be 50-50 cat vs cummins and 50-50 mack vs kenworth. worked on them in Alice Springs for a few months. C16 cats seem to have soft heads and fuel system bypasses injector pressure when the ambient temp gets above 45C. Cummins just use oil which scares owners.
