Can someone like Emil actually.. exist? I mean, do people understand him when he speaks? This music.. suggests that he is super human. Like I mean, look at him in this video. No one else in the band looks like that when they sing. They don't hear or see what Emil sees (they all look so depressed).

I just saw Loney, Dear live in Omaha without ever having heard of them. They opened for Andrew Bird. After the show the lead singer was selling their merchandise, so I talked to him about his set and everything... Probably one of the nicest people I've ever met. Also some of the best music. Love them.

i was at that show too...he was out mingling around before he went on...and i thought that was quite nice. and i found it kind of funny when no one was approaching Emil. so i took advantage and talked to him for a bit, and yes, he is very down to earth and very personable. needless to say i became more of a fan after the meeting.

It's completely by hazard that I've been looking for Loney Dear's songs. (Actually because of Patrick Watson or rather thanks to him).

It's been now for 3 weeks that I keep watching this vid. Or simply listening to it.

And today I can't describe the feeling that's running through me.

I feel so... so sad but I'm sure I'll enjoy life more than ever since there are songs like this one.

I fear that Loney, Dear will be one of those great artists that we will enthuse to blank faces in pubs about; inspire our children with his recordings about; and then find himself appreciated after his time about: 'who's that?'; 'Loney, Dear'; 'That's amazing...when's he playing?' Wow, just...wow. This guy is amazing! Really created something unique in the world of music. (Something unique that didn't suck, that is) He really stretches the boundaries of music in ways that need to be stretched.
