this is the concept for a FLYING car?.. i dont see it at all.. i mean the design itself doesnt even suggest any time of airbourne activity at all and the video just shows it driving in a traditional way.. the concept look AMAZING i just dont see hoe its a flyin car lol

Maybe it hovers on its own air cushion? that's how modern hovercraft work. It'd either have to be magically lightweight or have a serious jet engine on it to get off the ground, though. oh, and AWESOME video work.

yes,indeed, there can be some similarities. I specified his means of bus displacement much of people confuse his system and that of the Audi.

this car seems similar to the audi RSQ concept from Irobot. lol i hope this car comes out before i die. and also, if released, it would revolutionize the cars. If this car was to exsist, i would definatley buy it.

The audi rsq have 4 "spheres" for moving, here the concept use the magnetic sustentation for moving (flying) :) For the design, it's the alfa romeo style :)

The magnetic forces could probably indeed be used for an emergency stop, much better than with wheels, for obvious reasons, not to mention the money you would save on not having to change tires... ever.

F***ing awesome car, design to die for and a promising glimpse of the near future.

If you guys want to split hairs... If it was called a floating car, you would be nagging about where the water was. If it was called a hovering car, you would be all over the fact that it doesn't use air. If it was called a magnetic car, you would probably be nagging about that it would be too big to stick it on your fridge... :s

And tell me, how far does it have to be away from the ground to be called flying? It's simple, since it doesn't touch the ground, it moves through the air, however low it may be...

I think DSMeTailer hits on what I perceive as the primary failing of this concept: it's basically a regular car without wheels.

Personally, I think the concept could have been more forward-thinking. I can't help but compare this to the maglev vehicles in "Minority Report". It doesn't compare favorably.

Yes there is an interaction between the road and the car....it is on the modifications of the roads are not for today, but which know....when one sees already the terminals which could be set up soon so that the car is followed or run without driver, why not?
