Haha I thought it was Neto like pronounced "Neato" So I'm going to show this to everyone in my Jiu Jitsu class and tell them it's called the "Neato" Spine lock ^^
It doesn't matter if you join a judo or bjj school. there are weaknesses and strengths to every discipline. as long as you find out what works and what doesn't and then do your part to improve yourself and your chosen discipline/s..
No, they are quite different. It depends on what you want to do--want to tear peoples bodies apart, join BJJ. Want to throw people onto their asses (or head), join Judo.
@judopathoftruth I do both Judo and BJJ. You do not know what you are talking about. BJJ developed from Judo. You are right. The key word is "developed", meaning that it has changed. It is not the same!!
BJJ has a huge element of grappling. Judo has a huge element of stand-up. Yes Judo has its share of grappling, but it pales in comparison to the amount of grappling in BJJ!!
It's amazing how much a person can evolve. A decade ago, if you knew how to throw fists, you were set. Nowadays, there's a butt load of people that'll put you in a fuckin' guillotine out on the streets. Great creativity on thos one.
Nice, really similar to the Puppet Master that we came up with at our gym and that is posted as a video response. I guess brilliant minds think a like. I really like your set up though.
Don't be to quick to try moves like this without some supervision. It's always good to try it at the Academy you're learning from and see if your instructor thinks you're doing it right.
I practice another Martial Art, and I have spoken w/ Odie a few times here in San Diego.....Odie and Jeff Higgs are really cool. They are proficient and talented at what they do, but are not cocky dicks like a lot of the BJJ guys around town. Nice variation on the full nelson / neck cranks! Looks like a whole lot of trouble for the Uke!
WOW, nice move, I am going to try it tonight when I wrestle in my jiu-jistu class. The next time I take somone's back they are going to submit to me in this move!

Actually, that Neto guy DEFINATELY did not invent that move! WWE superstar Tom Billinger a.k.a. "The Dynamite KId" has been using that for 20+ years.

incorrect, judo has alot of ground work, which started BJJ.

Considering most Judo matches end on the ground then thats total rubbish. Take a look at olympic Judo on youtube and you;ll see for yourself.

nope but judo has spine locks in its teaching before BJJ did, in fact it started BJJ.
