This video is amazing, you got the feelings right across. I wish I could've watched in some of my more darker hours. Having dealt with verbal gaybashing myself and surpassing that to come out to friends despite a very homophobic family, I'm only 15. But, I know there's always life ahead and I never once considered suicide. So, I say, let's march on and fight for a better future.
Scholars in colleges and universities have studied the intricacies, the wonders and the mysteries of human sexuality over many, many decades. There is still much more to learn. I feel that parts of the Bible reflect attitudes that existed 2,000 years ago, which included beliefs that the world was flat, unequal attitudes about women, slavery, and homophobia.
I urge people to reconcile their religious beliefs with the reality that people do not choose their sexual orientation.

We all are human - and part of being human is that we are prone to be prejudice... not just anti-gay people but pro-gay people. Everyone. No exceptions. We presume that gays choose and gays presume they are born that way. If you think you come down on one side or the other, then all you are really saying is "I am right and they are wrong". Happy birthday to all of us: my wish is that we ALL be as free of prejudice as our DNA will allow.

Fortunately, I failed. I hadn't taken enough pills. At that point, I started researching. I realized that God loves me the way he made me, and wouldn't want me any other way.

@leetalityv2 I, in a sense am lost and confused, but those are personal matters I choose not to share with anyone because it's not anyone's business but mine. Not only that, I am a teenager facing these problems as they come. But I won't let anyone else make me think I don't want to live. I've made worse decisions than anyone else has ever made, and that is a personal opinion. I was only trying to point out that people, like Michael, need to change the way they think about life.

If more people cared and realized the horrible things they say or do affect some people, you wouldn't have to worry about kids committing suicide. There's nothing you can do other than try to be a better person; not just for you, but for everyone around you.

Perhaps you should use some of your strength of character to find what people refer to as "compassion" and then learn to practice it, along with your musicianship. Think of it from a perspective other than your own. He's giving people similar to him HOPE. What have you done today?

Sometimes in life when people are pushed beyond their limits and they have no one to turn to for comfort and feel like there's nothing to go on for Harsh words like I've heard hear are the last thing they need when fighting to live another day. Don't ever let active bigotry bring you down to a level in which you think you are wrong. There is nothing wrong with your statement or anything about your lifestyle. Keep yourself happy and healthy. Although you may at times feel like there is no love and belonging, there always will be and the best way to find it is by doing what you've done in this video; giving it. you're lucky at least someone supports you. you're just gay in a free country. no biggie. i'm an ex muslim (atheist) from a muslim country, where apostasy is a crime under the penal code. my parents nag at me everyday that i dont go to the mosque anymore. my mom threatens suicide and blames all her depression on me. my birthday wish is to die. i have no courage to do it myself. but i live everyday in pain.

You're so cute, and this video is great. I'm gay, and I attempted suicide in 10th grade, because, living the south, hearing people tell me that the way I was was devious, disgusting, and immoral, and having prayed for years asking to be changed, I just got tired of it. I gave up.
Fortunately, I failed. I hadn't taken enough pills. At that point, I started researching. I realized that God loves me the way he made me, and wouldn't want me any other way.
