WWZ ROCKS!!! Already read it 3 times. Sadly, the CD set is heavily abridged. I only wish they made an unabridged version. Even if it cost twice as much, I'd buy it. Max Brooks is a genius. If you get a chance, check out his interview on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. MORE, MAX, MORE!!!!
I think this is great! It gives very good tribute to the Seriousness of the Romero movies and the Goblins while also adding its own stand out epic zombie theme. You can feel the hopelessness, the horror, the agony, and the fight for survival.
According to Max Brooks, the writer of the script has manage to tie most of the large stories together. So it is possible that it can be made into a great film.
I like the variation of the Phantasm theme at about 1:57 since it fits perfectly. Awesome tune, dude. Outside of metal, this is the kinda stuff I like listening to the most (creepy and/or epic soundtrack-style tunes).
I haven't read the book...yet...I plan to eventually when I can. However I do like this song, and it does seem to be good for a zombie movie. Although I would like to hear better sound effects at the end. The woman screaming just didn't go in my opinion. Also the quality of that effect was pretty bad, but hey, you make due with what you got. Overall good job. And contrary to a previous comment, I believe this could go with a documentary type film.
I liked it a lot. The first minute and a half or so reminded me a little of the background music for 28 Days Later, and I thought the music was great for that film.
Best case senario is that this film is done in a pseudo documentary style like death of a president and not like some character driven movie, also the song doesn't fit at all, have you ever seen a serious war documantary thats main theme has an electric guitar
Ok personaly i love this trak.BUT, here's the thing for far, FAR, to long, zombie movies have be made a joke. With to many spoffs and mock films. That put no horror in the idea of zombies. I like many others am hoping that the WWZ movie will take back many years of shame zombies films have sucome to. and this music does not fit that idea i think this song would be perfect of a zombie movie but not one as epic as world war z will most hopfully be. im sorry if i was to harsh
Thanks! The track was written and recorded specifically for the World War Z movie by a producer(and massive zombie movie fan) called J.Gore and is titled 'Grimey Snappy People'...
this movie will be serious, the music should be serious too, this is not serious, it should probably be like terminator 2 theme style music

I think it's a perfect theme for WWZ. I can almost see scenes that are described in the book when I hear it. Also an oldschool horror feel to it.

I would never imagine the theme music to be anything like that. The book never evokes that kind of feeling in me to jam out with a guitar. 1/5 stars.

Max Brook's work is classic so it's good to see proper respect being paid musically and a quality piece of instrumental rock is the way to do it.
