  • No one is condemning lear as a devil or denying his talent as a writer and producer, but the fact remains that he,like many jews, are raised with a definite anti-christian bias and his PAW organization, along with the ADL,ACLU and SPLC,have been behind many attacks on christian evangelism and christian values in america. To know why this is so,we must look at the history of judaism and its conflict with christianity through the ages.

  • He is a freaking moron. He thinks the Constitution is like tea lives that are interpreted. If you have to "interpret" the Constitution, you cannot read. It is what it is, and it is written in plain English for those able to comprehend.

And NO, Judges don't get to interpret the Constitution. We ALLOW them to do it because we are idiots. But the truth is, the job of a SC Judge is to rule as it applies to the Constitution. The Con created SCOTUS, not the other way around.

  • ya know what i hate. is when people talk all this shit about god and christainity and this lear dude and cathlics etc etc. well especially with god, how can you prove theres such thing as god?? for all we know tha whole thing could be a conspiracy that some stupid weak pathetic people believe in. so tell me folks, what proof do you have? and dont say the bible coz thats just some book about it all. hahaha this should be good.

  • Excellent video. I agree with everything he said, especially the part on God. We as progressives must drive home the fact that right-wing fundementalists have a warped view and supposed "monopoly" on God. As someone raised Catholic, I don't attend church nor abide by any dogma. What I take away from my upbringing is a great love and respect for the human Jesus, not in "salvation" of self-centered terms, but for teaching a timeless message that can heal the world.

  • INTERNETVID, that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. The genius of the character that Lear constructed was that for all his simple ignorance and bias, he was, emotionally complex, and deep down a sympathetic, loving man. If you don't think that was Lear's genius as a storyteller at work, than you know nothing about dramatic writing and direction. Lear knew Archie need to be flawed, but in his own way a hero, decent at heart. That is part of Lear's message of hope and humanity.

  • Lear is an anti-Christian bigot.

The real intent of All in the Family was for

Lear to expose religious Christians (particularly Protestants)and conservatives as racist, hate-mongering anti-Semitic idiotic

thugs. Comic genius (Lear's own words) of

    Carroll O'Connor dampened Lear's plans

because, rather than engender distaste for

    conservative values vis-a-vis Archie Bunker,

the character portrayal made Archie, in the

end, a sympathetic figure. Lear failed and is

    himself the real Hater.

  • Thank you for saving me the trouble. Now he's a big patriot? What a laugh.

  • @INTERNETVID

How was he a hater? When Norman Lear created All in the Family, he mocked atheists and liberals too (does Mike Stivic ring a bell?)

Also, did you ever watch a show called "Maude"? The character of Maude was a Christian, but a very liberal, outspoken feminist. Maude was frequently mocked as a limousine liberal.

Lear is NOT an anti-Christian bigot. There were several Christian characters that were shown in a good light (like Irene on All in the Family).

  • People like Norman Lear and his generation that are teachers in our public school system and in our news rooms across America have made white people scared to speak their mind about race for fear of being called "Racist" because people like Norman Lear when beaten intellectually in a debate are so fast to call others "Racist" when they debate someone who they politically disagree with, same with guys like Keith Olberman. NBS/MSNBC is owned by General Electric (GE) by the way.

  • You don't get to interpret the Constitution any ole way you want to. When the Const. says Congress shall make no law, that's what it means, and you don't get to fudge it to make it say otherwise. Progressives want to 'interpret' the Constitution so that they can do things the Constitution prohibits the gov from doing. Believe in the Constitution. Follow the Constitution. That's what Congress needs to do. And we should force them to do so.

  • Do you understand that interpreting the Constitution (and all other laws), is what U.S. judges do? The Supreme Court, in particular, is tasked with interpreting the Constitution in light of precedent, the intent of its authors and current laws and practices.

  • Yup, that's what judges do. But it's Congress that makes the laws judges get to apply to any given case. Applying the law to any given case is not the same as interpreting the law. So tell me, what's to interpret when the Constitution says "Congress shall make no law . . .? You also realize Congress has the power to limit the jurisdiction of Article III judges? Yes, the Constitution is the law, the law by which all other laws passed by Congress are held to account.

  • The reason people are afraid, is the same reason they are unwilling to acknowledge that the white house was part of the fakery and process 911 and denying it daily. Everyone who wears a robe or a suit and lies is scared stupid that they might incure a diminishment of their own relative status both financal and social. It is inevitible that the whole house of cards will crumble, and there is not shame to reworking as it is needed. You cannot burn down half a house.

  • Well, at least he got half of it right. Which half is for you to decide....

  • any news on Tibet ??

  • obama is just a tool!

  • maybe we should listen to Ron Paul he is all about God, patriotism and morality and been practicing it in the public eye for over 30 years

  • hiya timetofly5...

i have been listening to him for 20 years now ..

and i'm votin' for him come hell or high water....

    .....will write him in ....

  • He's also about being denying evolution and embracing white supremacists.

  • you watch too much FOX news garbage. Just because people support him, doesn't always mean he agrees with their ideology, all deserve respect, all deserve representation, unless they are out to harm others...as the Elite who run this country have done.

  • yawn. Your Paultards like to keep your heads in the sand. His white supremacy has been exposed on multiple levels (his newsletters for one!). At least read the FAQ of the Ron Paul Survival Report on-line.

  • I agree, timetofly5 and bebop54! Go Ron Paul! He combines the best of both conservatives and liberals. I don't understand why these comments have received negative votes, though.
