@ThePistlwhipr Well, Original Generations released long before Endless Frontier EXCEED did, but that shouldn't be the point, as both songs are remixes of the original "Fight for Tomorrow" theme that first appeared in Compact.
It was too awful to express other way than this words,IMO.
The OG2 keeps being the FTW one and the only one...
PS: I honestly don't fucking know what's so good in the MnF games other than the fact you get fanservice every 5 minutes,I'd rather stick with the SRPG SRW must be.
It's a simple matter of localization. A more appropriate wording for the direct translation would be something like "The Curtain Rises on the Future's Battle", which is obviously a bit too lengthy to fit in the in-game BGM list (and too wordy overall), hence being shortened to "Fight for Tomorrow". Sort of like how "Alchemist with a Shaken Heart" became "Alchemist's Query".
Which is a damn shame. They won't release it either, no matter how the GBA & DS games they've released outside of Japan are received; the PS2's finished, game-development-wise. I just hope they re-release it on the Wii or another console later on; possibly merging in another OG game by then. Probably just wishful thinking, but you never know.
After playing Original Generations 2, I have to say at the start it seemed like the alternate dimension's "Beowulf" would be an evil force, but really since the Shadow-Mirrors seemed to be immense pricks bent on getting ridiculous numbers of people killed in the name of progress, he just came off as another Kyosuke fighting against the usual asshats.
Yeah, that's why OGS went out of its way to remind you that the EFA in the other universe were pretty bad guys. Until then, you only had the word of the guys who wanted to start an interdimensional war. Then they went a step further and had Beowulf being controlled by (or not?) the Einst.
actually it was implied even in the GBA version that SM Verse Kyouske was Enistfied *points to the moment in the GBA version where Soul Gain rips aparts the Alt's Arms* in the intermission after that event Axel mentioned that they didn't grow back like when he faced the Wulf.
Are you sure? I thought even that bit was only added in OGS. I'd replay the game to double-check, but by the time I'd get that far I'd have forgotten that I was supposed to be looking for that...
Yeah, it's surprising that two of the main characters are from Compact considering that the vast majority of the originals were taken from Alpha. A few from A as well, but not that many.
Erm... There weren't that many originals in A in the first place. They also used a ton of characters from the classic series. It's really a no-brainer, since the classic and Alpha series were the longest-running ones and therefore had the most original characters and plots to take from.
Before i played OG2 i was watching all these clips of story lines and stuff to see what there was starting with dygengaurd but thats another story.
Anyhow when i heard this theme and the alt i was thinking "i bet this is the theme of the kyosuke fromt he other world" well that didn't happen as i beat OG2, but not i thought that would be soooooo awsome if that acualy happened.
This heroic theme? From what I've heard, the other world's Kyosuke isn't all that heroic. Apparently, in OGS, the OG2 segment begins with a few bonus missions from the Shadow-Mirrors' point of view. One such mission has Axel fighting the other Kyosuke, who talks about recreating the world and other such Einsty things. Apparently, that's supposed to be the "real" reason Axel hates Kyosuke so much.
I also hear Axel's less of a jerk in that game, which is good because otherwise he's awesome.
Well that kyosuke may not be evil if that world was in chaos BECAUSE of vindle, but then again when they jumped dementions vindle said he was trying to creat chaos in his world and the other for "the technological result" so that right there is a real "play every SRW game to know the answer" question.
But your right, Axel shouldn't be a bad guy, or at least die a bad guy. When you hear him talking it's like hes one of the charactors that joins you because he sees how readiculusly insane his superior's plans are,
The point is that the other Kyosuke may very well actually be evil, since it seems he's been possessed by the Einst. In fact, it seems that the "new" reason that Axel ripped Alteisen's limbs off was to see if they would regenerate like they do in the other world.
They probably hadn't thought of it at the time. They may have just needed an excuse to make Axel look like less of a jerk, especially since some of the portions of that prologue led into OG2.5, such as introducing the characters from Reversal. Again, though, I haven't played it, so I can't say anything for sure.
This seems more like a situational song than an overall theme for Kyosuke, but that's probably the intention. It certainly works for final battles, although it obviously gets overwritten when you fight the bosses themselves. I always felt that songs like this should get the Trombe! treatment...
yea this song works like Hagane no Messiah and Gong but not as a theme...but this ver is more upbeat compared to the more armegaddon like one in the GBA game
True. I actually dislike that about this version, but that's just me. A lot of the songs seem to get excessive flourish in OGS, and even OG2 for that matter, whereas I prefer the simpler versions. Trombe! for one, was at its best in its low-quality OG1 glory IMO.
..funny how no matter any dimension Kyosuke always bone Excellen one way or another..and by that I mean tentacles Beowulf and Alfimi
...Beowulf acts more like einst than Nanbu really

This sounds like a remix to the Mugen No Frontier EXCEED theme of fight for tomorrow. Am I right?

@MasterYoshiRider Well, I'm really just up to date all up until SRW OG when Ryusei joins the SRX team, so I'm not sure what happened prior to that.

Kyosuke and Excellen both originated in SRW Compact 2:Part 1, and were in parts 2 and 3 as well.

I've gotta wonder, was this originally the main theme of Impact or Compact 2, or was it made for OG2?
Socran 3 years ago
it's the General Compact theme it was used for Compacts, 1 ,2-1 2-2 and 2-3 and compact 3

Their reeeeealy twisting the story every time they remake the game.
They should have been able to convey that much in Taisen OG2 when lamia explains what happening in her world.
