  • At the end of the vid she was looking at the resist like holy shit!

  • this is surprising since barbues are made in china and sold by mattel

  • I love barbies and I'm 10 I still love them and love to play with them

  • And they are closed. the lesson here is don't mess with sailor moon

  • they should have learned from sanrio.... they should have opened up one in beverly hills or costa mesa california where there are a lot of rich people who just wants to spend spend spend just for fun.

  • in china kids dont play with barbie like they do in the us. in the us, girls pretend that barbie is doing something, driving to dinner in her fanciest clothes in her caddy, or sitting by the pool in her bathing suit. In china, girls put dolls in their room and collect them. Idk how well this franchise will do in that country because of this. Barbie merch is all about the playing experience and china is only interested in the doll itself

  • A new generation of low esteem Asian girls in the making.

  • most normal people in china are probably bracing themselves for the calapse of common sense and hopefully burn down such a doll of evil intent, its like chucky meets the stepferd wives:P

  • my sis would kill me to go to china just cuz of this *sigh*

  • Those poor little girls, now they're going to grow up idealizing something they aren't. Not to say I didn't have any Barbie dolls, though.

Basically they're trying to with Barbie what Sanrio has done with Hello Kitty. It doubt it will work soon though.

  • Its a great idea to make barbie a brand personally i would never buy a barbie brand right now but if the stereo typical "its baby stuff" thing goes away and it actually becomes a big brand which i can see happening maybe one day "barbie" will really change. If they switch their aim at the older generation then younger.

  • Is there gonna be one inthe US?

  • @Sharpay291 Probably not, the one in Shanghai is closing down already after 2 years. I personally think they went overboard with the new concept. They should have tried it in a smaller scale like they do with their American Dolls' concept in the US.

Their expectations were way too high and their financial target over estimated by aggressive analysts.

  • U know wt?

I will go on a Goeg fieldtrip to Shanghai soon,

I so want to go there and hv a visit if I can!!!

There r a lot of lovely Barbie dolls!

    XDDDDDD

  • china now looks just like japan

  • dude,I wanna kick ur ass, dont say this in China. BTW, When Shanghai was called the East Paris, Japanese are still living in their wooden "cage"
