  • I thought my mom was bullshitting when she told me this, I was at pizza hut in riverside when this shit happened lol

  • LANDSPOUT!!! Not Tornado.

  • i was in food 4 less when that happened it was scary

i remember the rain got up to the side walk

  • this happened a couple days after my b-day.i lived in ca my whole life and never shited bricks like this.

  • I remember the day this happen. I was at work in Hemet & later, about 2 hours after this happen, I drove home to Canyon Crest. I saw the tipped over train & downed telephone poles right by the National Cemetery . Dust Devils have no way of producing that type of force & dust devils don't EVER connect to clouds. This was indeed a TORNADO, small to a lot of rednecks, but HUGE to those who never see tornadoes & shouldn't =)

  • its funny how people are commenting on how we were scared of this small tornado but maii cuzn from the midwest ran outta the house when we had a small earthquake..SAVE IT!!!

  • People wher still in there cars cuz we never got a tornado we dint know-call it dirtdust tornado whatever u like point is fliped a train so is it fake still-yes it happen in riverside bot perris I live in perris it was couple miles down

  • Double Tornado! across the sky lol

  • Wow, I've lived in Cali my whole life, so far, and never knew about this. I don't even live too far from that area. On a side note, that was two days after my birthday.. harhar.

  • At least you get advanced warnings with a tornado....

  • at least you have some advanced warning of a tornado as well

  • at least you have some advanced warning of a tornado as well

  • I Remember when this happened Everyone was saying it was in "Moreno Valley"

bullshit it was next thing you know it passed by on the freeway

  • Low grade tornadoes, their F0's so there not dangerous, pretty cool tho

  • @stsars13 stupid shit them were F2s 130MPH wind speed did all kinds of damage 6mos in rehab.

  • It's funny to watch Californians freak out over a tiny F0 tornado. Come on out to the midwest to see something to be afraid of.

  • @herostatus It'd b even funnier 2 see how you'd react 2 an earthquake say when u r awaken n the middle of the night, or when u r sitting at work & the entire building is shaking & u had NO IDEA it was comin.Or it's all U can do 2 keep your composure as one moment u r driving on the bay bridge & next thing u know a huge portion of it just collapses.Yes, my friend, that is what we Californians have 2 deal with. Oh & no earthquake siren to tell us we're about to have an earthquake. Just saying. :)

  • I love watching this video and reading the stupid comments about this only being a dust devil, me I was the one inside the big truck that the dust devil picked up and droped back on the roadway and I thank GOD every day it was only a dust DEVIL hell I might have been killed if it was a class F2 Tornado YOU Dumb ass"s You would not know a tornado if it bit you in the ass,THAT was an F2 stupid,TORNADO JIM

  • ugh you people obviously didnt heard the word dust devil look if it was actually a tornado howcome i can see sunlight in the back of the dust devil there is my proof its not a tornado its just a huge dust devil thats my opinion

  • @ThePituka111 i was about to say something mean but then i checked your page and found out you were 12. stay in school little man. especially english class. =)

  • @Discokid715 agreed :)

  • @ThePituka111 Tornadoes often form on the edge of a supercell. Sunlight coming in behind the tornado is fairly common. Stay in school, kid. ;)

  • @ThePituka111 Stupid shit dust devil do not come out of the clouds, I love it when you stupid FUCK"s dont know what the Hell U R saying Tornado Jim

  • do these tornados ever form near those new homes being built in perris? because im planning to move into one of thos new homes :(

  • january storms brought several tornado warnings..

  • So why do the people stay in there cars?

  • i had de ju vu dreams of this :/

  • i was on the freeway when it was by the base in perris. scary stuff man.

  • 1:17 thats me getting ranned over and i survived to post this comment

  • reminds me of the tornadoes that were lifting cars somewhere around costa mesa i think.I was watching the news when that happened

  • if you think thats a dust devil your retarded dust devils dont have an updraft and socal gets on average 9 tornados a year they can land anywere when i lived in co we had 3 tornados land at above 10000 feet in one year

  • check out my vids on the same day. NBC came to my house and never gave me a cent. (that won't happen again)

  • that aint a torando thats a dirt devil bitch

  • wtf i live in perris and didnt see any tornado dum ass

  • wtf wen was this i live right next to it on da 215

  • i was there under oleander bridge now known harley knox, i saw when the big rig tip over

  • wow, this is amazing! We don't get this type of weather often here in Cali. Terrific capture :)

  • Oh yeah... this is happening..

  • Man, fuck kansas. Kansas' tornadoes are wimps compared to Oklahoma's tornadoes, anyway. We have to put up with Hot dry santa-ana winds, sudden unexpected gusts up to 80 mph, 7.0+ earthquakes, storm surges, powerful el-nino storms, intense lung-choking wildfires that dwarf anything you pricks ever experienced. And if you live near disneyland like I do, you have to put up with EXPLOSIONS every freaking night at 9:35! Damn prairie-fags.

  • i remember this day i live in perris by the community center

  • i guess i am not in kansas, wait i am in kansas i want to go home lol!@#@@!@!!@!!!!!!!

  • cool i taken very many pic of storms good job

  • That is totally insane.

  • thats outstanding!

  • i guess tornadoes always get the right away xD

  • persionaly i think thats really awsome somtimes im soo stupid i wanna feel the wind in my face from a tornado haha

  • aww i miss my old city i used to live there in 2005 :( i rally miss lake perris

  • RUN FOR YOUR FUCKING LIVES!

  • I live a few miles away from here. it wasn't actually labeled a tornado but a funnel cloud

  • Idk why this is surprising to some people, come on its pretty evident that the whole IE, or inland valleys east of LA are all pretty much flat land and plains. Nothing but farms, and new developments and all that bs. Point is, its the perfect breeding ground for tornadoes. And tornadoes can happen at any time it all depends on the conditions.

  • you white people get so scared lol but it is weird that this happened in cali. but there been worse in other places

  • why would you write something so idiotic? If you're really a "stormchaser" which no respected meteorologist would call himself, you'd realize that tornadoes are RARE in SoCal and that is what makes it unique, not its rating on the Fujita scale. Idiot.

  • Yeah, the whole thing is that is a very rare occasion. You boast of your big tornadoes, but this is a sight to see out there. And as far as earthquakes....you say we don't get crapped on? One earthquake at 7.0+ Mag will do more damage than 10 of your F5 tornadoes in shorter time. Idiot.

  • @djholograf

Dude I agree with you 100%!!!! I'm from SoCal and trust me when people see Tornado's in Fontana and Riverside, people literally stop what they're doing and DON'T run for safety!!!

  • Just the fact that there can even be a tornado in a place like Southern California should be considered a natural miracle, considering we haven't had a legitimate tornado in hundreds, maybe even thousands of years. Just because we don't live in Oklahoma and get buttfucked by tornados, doesn't make it any less shocking that there is one, silly troll.

  • how do you know which is worse??? california gets hit with other things A LOT harder than Oklahoma. have u evr been in an earthquake???? No. u haven't. so why dont u just take ur comment and fuck it up ur ass.

  • i remember this... if u want to see the hail storm that happened after this tornadoe..luk up my video...

  • i lived perris too .....theres bad weather

  • Dude that is freaking crazy! Thank you so much for recording this!

  • how ironic, a tornado in southern california, too bad i was in LA

  • i was there it sucked. my car got pelted with roof shingles and pieces of tile with rocks.

  • NOT an example of irony...

  • Great footage man!! My Mom lives right off of Van Buren, in Orange Crest... I remember that day... I wish I was out there to see it!

  • wow it happened in day after tomarrow it happens for real except its WAY WEAKER

  • wow!

    this is amazing!

i didnt get to see this! =S

i was on my computer that day u.u

i didnt even know it was happening =S

no one told me about it! ¬¬' for me this wouldve been like a dream come true u.u

  • that day was wierder than the year before when it snowed in perris

yes snowed and covered the ground

  • think you 4 the video, I was the one driving thr big truck, I never seen it coming it happen so fast, but a least I have a movie clip of it how. Thank you and 4 you noon believers KMA.

  • hahah i live in lake perris and i saw everything. the trains were wrecked man.

  • Tornados in California are rare. Period. So please forgive us when we see one we get a little freaked out. Jerks.

  • the other one like came out of no where

  • i remember when this happened... but there was another one close to where i lived and i was happy that for once we actually got a tornado in California and yes it is very rare this ever happens

  • Your diesel truck sounds healthy. lol

  • yea i remember that day.....i so tougth i was gonna die..=D

  • Amazing.

It just makes you realize there's something bigger than you out there.

  • I guess Californians can laugh at the scale of your earthquakes.

  • @JWI01 shut up i lived thst it was like 3miles from my house

  • Yeah you may have bigger twisters in Kansas, however it is very unusual to even have one in california like that, no matter how big or small it may be.

  • Best video by far of this storm. I can now easily tell the tornado on the left was easily an EF3 and could've overturned that train the guy was talkinga bout in the other video. That one to the right was barely even a tornado (most likely a mid-powered EF0) but it's awesome to see 2 at once even if the other one is a pussy.

  • You can't really tell the magnitude of a tornado by how big it looks from afar. You can only tell by wind measuring devices and damage assessment. This was finally registered as an EF0-EF1: very weak on the Fujita scale. Besides that, I don't believe these tornadoes were generated from a "tornadic" thunderstorm, that is, one that generates a "mesocyclone" or "wall cloud", thus truly violent tornadoes. These were most likely "landspouts".

  • RotoPlasmX I being the one who was driving the big truck have followed the reporting of the Tornados and they were rerated @EF2 130mph wind speed and had the old March homes still been in the path them it may well been rated a 3. neither one was very weak, I khow first hand.. Tornado Jim, ,Guess how I came by that nick name?

  • this is my hood

  • Awesome video man, I remember my uncle calling me about this specific tornado. had I still lived in Cali I would have definetely chased this storm as well. Hope you can get more of these rare occasions this year. Happy chasing...

    -gerrit of severeidaho

  • I remember this. It was a strange day.

    Everyone was talking about it.

  • is this like near somewhere called riverside? my uncle was saying something about it, i live in england so we don't get much, in plymouth where i am theres not even snow...i would hav freaked if i was there though

  • that was a weird day. first the crazy hail, then the tornadoes.

  • This is one of the better videos so far I have seen. From 00:05 to 00:50 you can see the classic supercell structure with the wall cloud, RFD (rear flank downdraft), and of course, tornado. Way to go! National Weather Service is doing a case study on this storm. One of the largest supercells to ever grace the inland empire.

  • haha. it was funny. I live in virginia and there were two tornadoes 7 miles from my apartment so I went to visit my family in california and while I was there this happened. ha. like 15 miles away from my parent's house

  • Such a rare sight in Cali.

  • pause at around 0:05 to 0:09 look at the brown car im in there! ohh in left side btw

  • WEAK

  • they were more of dust devils then tornadoes. but still a rare site in cali

  • nah tornadoes bro. it had ground to cloud connection. reported a f2

  • wow. my home town was in lake elsinore and i didnt know that there would ever be a tornado close to there

  • Comment removed

  • Just to show you tornadoes can pop up anywhere. i used to live in long beach, but now im in the southern part of tornado alley. hopefully i wont have to go through these monsters

  • haha same here i use to live in lake elsinore and now i live in nebraska. thats right in the tornado alley. once a month we have tornado warnings. they are annoying at first and after a while i though it was fun seeing all the clouds and running out side with those 60 m/h winds

  • tornadoes have happened all over the west coast of north america over the last century

  • yea i know but when i lived in in cali the closest to a tornado were water spouts and dust devils. and now i belive that there is tornadoes in cali and the west coast

  • Yeah, definitely a tornado. Dust devils form on sunny, windy days. This is underneath a severe thunderstorm. Awesome footage!

  • those are dust devils

  • These aren't dust devils garydrian, learn the difference! DDs only occur on hot (usually cloudless) days; they NEVER go up into a cloud and NEVER are associated with a thunderstorm. These tornadoes happened when a big thunderstom went through -- one was an F2 that flipped a semi -- very dangerous!

  • i live right next to lake perris

  • Wierd when there was a tornado.Youll never usally see it in cali.

  • Best video I have seen thus far, KUDOS to you for a job well done!

  • it is so freaky seeing this thing from different parts of town. what a wierd day!

  • thanks kaleb's dad!
