@soficha10 Well I don't know much about any errors such as that so I'm afraid I can't helped you. I suggest to Google it or try different games. The game(s) you may be trying could have been taken offline.

@soficha10 Well Battlefield 2: Modern Combat requires you to have an account with the game. You can no longer create accounts for the game so you wouldn't be able to play it even if you could establish a connection. I'm sorry, you'll have to play a different game.

@rockvsaustinwm27 No you cannot get it from a store. Please read through the description as well as some of the comments. It will be able to assist you in getting your PlayStation 2 online. However, I'd recommend maybe getting an upgrade (PS3). Sure there's a lot of great PS2 games that can play online but by now you've missed out on a lot of (If not all) the fun.

The playstation system shown in this video isn't the one I have. One i have is different, and doesn't have the thing to where u would plug the thing to where u would get online ability. Always wanted to get online with some of the games I had in the past but never knew how. Is there a way I could get online with the ps2 system that I have ? Or do I gotta get an up to date one.

@MACastaldi2 You have is a Fat PS2, or the original PS2. You have to find a Network Adapter for it, although I'd just recommend buying a new PS2 (Slim) as they are cheap, easy to find, and already have one built in (As in the video). To be honest a lot of PS2 games have been taken offline because the console is so old, what games do you wish to play online? I can find out if they're still online or not... @Homefries90 Are you serious? You do realize when the PS2 and Xbox came out right? Both have the ability to be wireless but you need third party hardware which is basically just a wireless receiver. The PS3 however shipped with Wifi capabilities, the Xbox 360 did not. Only until recently has the 360 started shipping with Wifi built in. Perhaps you need to research more about what you're talking about...

That did not help whatsoever. All it tells you is to turn off your PS2, turn it back on, plug in your Dual Shock controller and memory card, and then add the Online disk. Most PS2s don't even come with the online disk.

@SingerJessS Well you`ll need either a loptop or an internet bridge. Either way you`ll need an Ethernet cable of some length. If you had a laptop you could simply use it as a wireless hotspot (Google it). If you have a wireless internet bridge it works pretty much the same as a router. I have no need to do either and I don`t have the equipment to do so either so I can`t make a video.

@heardofrvb Just to make sure there`s no chance of a power surge I guess, I don`t unplug my PS2 when pluging in the Ethernet cable. But there`s always a chance doing this can cause damage. Do whatever you wish, just remember it`s your PS2 you`re risking.

Most/all games' servers that are still up now run on Broadband Only internet. And not only that but every other game right now need Broadband, so it's best if you get and ISP maybe like TWCable, Verizon, ATT etc.

If you have a phat PS2 obviosly you need the network adapter >.> luckily my brother had a friend that gave it us with the network adapter disk. One thing only bugs me, i have an IDE 40 GB Hard Drive and don't know how to format it into FAT32 so it can work for my ps2

@Jeourj I imagine depending on the size of the hard drive (not memory size but actual size) you could do it via your computer and if you have another hard drive bay. But you would have to do a bit of research into it as I've never done anything like that...

@fanglord1 The Network Adapter only accepts IDE 3.5" hard drives formatted into FAT32. I have a laptop, so I would need an IDE connector or what not to USB so i can format it. And there's the research. Wow i actually now how its just buying the damn thing and I'm pretty much set.

@Gameplayer77 Yes, there are games where you can't play online anymore. BUT, here's the big butt :), there are games that still you can play. I have a Phat Ps2 Model SCPH-39001 and I just got online Splinter Cell: Double Agent (I don't LAN). I've also played EA's NBA live 06/07/and 08. On 2006 the servers were on for 2006 and 2007, but 06 went down on 2008. Just test some games.
