Veterinarian incompetence has caused this family a great deal of undue grief. The decision to put your furry loved one down is bad enough, but to have to make that decision twice - for the *same* animal? Unacceptable. I feel sorry for this family.
Animal euthanasia usually takes 2 shots, One to put them to sleep and the second is an overdose of barbiturates to stop the heart and breathing. Looks like they just gave them the shot to make him fall asleep :/

all these peopel saying "keep her alive" "god brought her back to you" give yoru head a shake...they simply didn't give her enough dosage. Euthanol (the blue or pink injection that kills the dog) is actually a anesthetic...they just OD it to kill the animal..obviously the vet tech didn't use enough. And sometimes just going by the weight of the animal isn't enough.

That's why vets should put over maximum dosage when putting dogs down. Not to sound callus, but the worst possible outcome of an overdose is death and since death is the point of putting a dog down, one should always put more than necessary dosage so things like this don't happen. I feel really bad for the owner though.

@HayDavo5 I hope it happens to you, what happend to my dog. You will have some trouble in the spine that no drug can take ur pain away. U will be big and strong like my dog was and still cry like a puppy whit the pain!! You will only move ur head, and badly!! It will not exist any cure for that. Then come talk to me again! I put my dog asleep cause i love him and i care! Not because i wanted too...

ppl should look in to this more because what if other ppl that got there dog put down but mybe its just to put ur dog to sleep for a few hours.....then u go and berry ur poor dog alive....

You know what? You never have had to kill her, nobody's forcing you to kill her, a dog always is optimistic no matter what, even if they can't flippin stand. Everday is a blessing, everyday you learn new things and have more chances to feel happiness! You decide her death? She is completely innocent. If you kill her again, you are a idiot. I have a feeling that that will be the sad truth.

all these peopel saying "keep her alive" "god brought her back to you" give yoru head a shake...they simply didn't give her enough dosage. Euthanol (the blue or pink injection that kills the dog) is actually a anesthetic...they just OD it to kill the animal..obviously the vet tech didn't use enough. And sometimes just going by the weight of the animal isn't enough.
I feel sorry for this guy, and for the dog.

Why does everyone keep saying this is an act of God? Did God tell you in person that he sent the dog back to its body? How do you know for sure? Also, how do you know that the owner even believes in God, he could be an atheist and preaching things to him while not knowing what kind of person he is totally insensitive.

That's why vets should put over maximum dosage when putting dogs down. Not to sound callus, but the worst possible outcome of an overdose is death and since death is the point of putting a dog down, one should always put more than necessary dosage so things like this don't happen. I feel really bad for the owner though.

@jozsefkacsa Yes, you put your animals to sleep if they are in pain and are suffering. And yes, I would put my grandparents or even any family member "down" if they were in pain and suffering. I personally would never want to rot in pain for my remaining days. I would want to be put down as well. Euthanasia is not a bad way to go. Euthanasia means "good death", and that is what it is....a good death.

@TheAshleycook21 You say that now but when the time comes to die or live with pain YOU WILL CHOOSE live with pain.There are pain killers for that reason and until u experienced that u can say whatever u think makes u feel though.But when survivor mode kicks in u will surprise yourself how much pain u able to take.I've been in pain since 2005 every day taking heavy pain killers but I'm much rather be alive spending time with my family than being 6 feet under

@jozsefkacsa I watched my grandmother suffer for three years and she was basically begging for a way out and unfortunately we could not give that to her due to state laws. If I had a choice I would have "put her down". I know that I would rather be dead then live life binned to my own bed because it is too painful to take one step. I know that I don't want anyone wiping my ass because I cannot function on my own. This is just how I feel, let it be right or wrong.

on the payment receipt it shows euthanasia for a 66-80lb dog...that dog obviously weighed more than that. When i had my rottweiler put down, it took more than the usual amount to do the job.
