When I listen to this song I remember everything about the time i first heard it. 2009 and i was studying GCSE's. I used to listen to this when I was revising. And i think it probably got me the grades i needed. It brings back fantastic nostalgic memories for me when i was 16. This track is incredibly moving for me because a lot happened for me back then. And thats what music should always be about. To move and to remind you of life. Explosions in the sky does this better than anyone else

I imagine a man in a war. His friends are all dying around him and he's in shock just staring at them, watching them die. Then at 1:39 he just snaps. he starts shooting at the enemies. Then when he doesn't have any energy left in him, he starts crying. After that he is back at home. he is reflecting on the war he was in and all his buddies that were killed and all the good times he had with them. He wishes they could be there with him. then life goes on.
