  • Who was the drummer at the time this was recorde? Was it Mayhew, who played on the Trespass album. Also, in the picture there are 6 people, I think both Phillips and Hackett who indirectly replaced him are there - were they both temporarily in the band at the same time?

  • @whyteay phil collins is drumming, and steve hackett is on guitar ...who i believe was only in the band for 2 months at this point! the photo above is banks, rutherford, gabriel, collins, hackett... and i believe, richard macphail, who was their tour manager at the time.

  • Yeah, that's a leitmotif of the future "Lilywhite Lilith" there at the beginning...Thanks for the early Genesis facts, dummytree. Appreciated! And thx for posting, genesisbeatleswhofan!

  • Awesome early recording! Thanks for posting. That's a Lamb Lies Down melody (partly) back in '71. Wow.

  • @zenpaganwarrior Amazing! I had no idea. I think it was one of their first ever shows outside of England too."Trespass" did pretty well in Belgium at the time (how it came about I don't know!), then their success spread in Italy (a country that was very much into prog-rock...van Der Graaf was number one there, crazy!) and then in France I think.
