  • Such a great video!

  • i want the hitman just to blast at the bassoon in front of me lolz

  • Is the statement at the end regarding owning a c trumpet true? You played in Dallas on a B flat trumpet?

  • what piece is playing during the credits pl0x

  • Bugle Blues by Tutti Camarata. It's on 'Tutti's Trumpets'.

Trumpets: Mannie Klein, Uan Rasey, Pete Candoli, Conrad Gozzo, Joe Triscari and Shorty Sherock.

A killer LP finally reissued on CD.

  • i love this vid my band teachers in las vegas showed us this it was so funny!!!

  • absolutly brilliant!

  • Speaking as a bassoonist, I laughed and laughed and laughed.

  • I can totally relate

  • sehr geil! :-)

  • nice dood

  • i need the target master 007

  • hahahaha! Hey Jeff! This is awesome, you are a genius!!! Great post!

  • Bud Herseth once was telling this story at Dorian Music Camp, that he had an inexperienced conductor that told the trumptet section of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to play as loud as they possibly could. And Bud Herseth and his section blew the conductor off the Podium.

  • ahahaha those trumpet players

I'm glad none of my band's trumpet players have got mouth pieces like that... I'd be dead =\

  • I laughed so hard I pulled several, well-developed muscles...and I'm STILL giggling uncontrollably...nailing the Farting Bedpost player is a favorite of mine AND my students!!!!!! :)

  • Lol! Great video! Fun stuff! I'm a trumpet player and I know that the people in front of me are party poopers ;)

  • Best video ever!!!

  • haha this is hilarious

  • Ouch!!

  • LOL Awesome!

  • ur mom bassoon players pwn T.T

  • Hahaha. Bassoon players ARE party poopers!

  • OMG - I'll be sure to watch for the magnum during the berlioz tomorrow!

  • In English, sounds too close to "Die Endlösung".

  • My god, I don't think anyone from Germany should be using the term "Ultimate Solution" (or "Final Solution" for that matter)...

  • Hi. Does anyone know whats fantastic trumpet feature is played in the very end of this great great advertisment? Whith greetings from Germany

  • "that really blew him away!" can be understood literally in this case I guess? :P

  • I'm linking this video to all my websites! Great job Jeff. I'm reading about the Curnow in Phila Orch. from the previous post. Is that you?

  • Hihi, that´s the funniest thing I´ve seen on youtube for months!

  • great!!! The ultimate solution.

    Uwe from Germany

  • I need one of these Hitman mouthpieceees!!

  • Yup, send me a HITMAN! This is so good, I had to send it to my conductor and the poor bassoonists who have to sit in front of me!

(and I DO own a C, in addition to my LARGE BORE Bb!:-)

  • This is great! I had the whole family come watch!

  • whiteshoes

I can't believe someone had the nerve to suggest editing...it's PERFECT!! Also, I

want to order a Black Jack HITMAN!! THANKS

    for your great efforts...

  • (Oops, originally posted this in the wrong place. Reposting here...) Hey, great video! Seriously funny stuff. I must confess to having occasionally aimed my bell right at the heads of some annoying reed players. Are you the same Jeff Curnow who plays with Philly Orch? I've played many time with Debbie Crow, and she always talks about your days at Temple. I've tried to stop by to say high after your Kimmel Center concerts, but could never get to the stage before you were gone.

  • Nice!!!!

  • use a dizzy horn... Monette is making them now ;)

  • A dizzy horn? Care to elaborate, eric?

  • Just do an image search for Dizzie Gillespe. The bell of his horn was angled upward.

  • Loved it, Jeff. Only one suggestion: edit beginning to 2:40 to where the comedic timing is faster paced. Less space between narrative and visual response. The commercial 2:41-3:05 has the right, snappy tempo. You've done a great job! As a trombonist, I was often told to tone it down.

  • Richard Strauss, when conducting, observed thus: "Never look at the trombones. It only encourages them."

  • Dang, this takes me back to my more aggressive days; Ah, memories....

  • As a bassoonist, I do NOT recommend this product.

I do, however, always have a pair of earplugs in my case. :-)

  • As a trumpeter, I carry several packages of disposable earplugs, to hand out to woodwind players.

  • funny!

The conductor looks like my old teacher sigmund hering.

  • Literally, "LOL!!!" Thanks!

  • Ain't it the truth!!!!!

  • From a cellist: That's great! Now where can I buy a Super Duper Magnum cello bow?

  • Nice. Yup.

  • Great stuff Jeff! Congrats! Nice Sprach!

  • HHAHAHAH ROFLOL

  • lol, nice

I'll take a "Spartacus Left Hook" please...

  • HAHA!! Very good

  • Take that you geeky party pooper.

  • Hilarious!

  • nice, nice

  • hihihihihi!!!! :-D
