  • Good!

  • Wow amazing

  • F**kin Great man, thanks for putting this guitar track on youtube. Cheers!! It was very useful for really nailing the guitar tracks....Such a shame that idiots have to post such BullS*T comments on every guitar vid. Take care, Lewi

  • DIE (DIE!) BY MY HAND I CREEP ACROSS THE LAND KILLING FIRST BORN MAN

  • @jewelfewel ...Motherfucker Die!

  • @killcat25 real is better dude :) so you should say 2 people can't play this on real guitar

  • 2 peoples cant play this on GH

  • I just realized how even more badass Kirk Hammett is :D

  • Master of Puppets is now more played song than Creeping Death ;) Just check it out at Metallica's official page.

  • @Mordownick Master of Puppets is a fag song compared too Creeping Death -_- but, Master was a really good song too :D

  • Dave Mustaine don't like this

  • @LandOfMutants well that just shows how true and raw his shredding is! it's not sloppy

  • where is the rhythm guitar during kirk's solo??

  • Yeah!!!

  • guitars are layered, 2 on the right, 2 on the left. That's why it has that almost chorus-like sound to it. There's at least 4, if not 6 rhythm guitars on every Metallica song.

  • @uglyguitarguy metallica always records two or three guitars, then they copy each track up to 20x and they put some effects, change the panorama, etc^^ so there are much more than just 6 guitar tracks ;)

  • Moscow 1991. Nuff said.

  • i meant Hammett

  • how the heck can i get this kinda tone????

  • @MrRhoadsliveson mark iic+

  • @sk8monster112 i've been playing guitar for a couple of years, mostly rhythm, and i can never get this great tone. i can play everything off Metallica's 1st 4 albums, and i have tried alot of stuff to get this tone. so, is the distortion straight from the amp?

  • @MrRhoadsliveson I read your comment.

For the last few days I have been goodfing around with my BOSS GT-10.

I think I have obtained a pretty good sound using Fender Hot Rod Deluxe with BOSS GT-10 and my ESP KH-2.

The BOSS patch uses JC-120 clean sound preamp with a distortion pedal. It also has a compressor and some reverb and a little bit of delay to make the tone more ambient.

Note that the original record has the rhyhtm guitar in two mono tracks separated. That changes the tone a whole lot =D

  • @MrGuitarrica thanks man. i appreciate it. i mean i'm only 14, so that might have somethin to do with it, but like in my last comment, i can plau everything on their 1st four records. i just have trouble gettin the sound, but i'll try what you said, and see if that works. thanks a bunch man

  • @MrRhoadsliveson Well dude No goddamn problem! =D

I'm fifteen myself and I'm seriously pissed for not getting the exact tone that James has.

Hey!! if you're interested in some Metallica covers go check out mine! People tell me that they are really good. I think they are kinda mediocre. =D

    Whateever.

    Hope that helped. =)

PS. HAppy Valentines day everybody who sees this comment! =D

  • @MrGuitarrica okay man, i checked out your covers and they are like 100times better than me!!. i mean i can play all the rythm the same, but those solos kill!! you are great man. and nick Kammet signature

  • Why do i feel as if that Solo just Butt Fucked my ears....

  • @warrenb367 Because it did! =D

  • Metallica needs lower-quality production like this again. So much more atmospheric and heavy than that dry Death Magnetic bullshit. Where the hell is Rasmussen these days?

  • @antonio610 He's recording with Tantara in Denmark \m/

  • so let be written so let be done to kill first born pharaohs sonnnn!!!

  • how do you split the tracks from the original song??????

  • 2:52 Holy fuck! the solo is so badly played by Kirk! I hadnt realized until now.

  • @stergenakis

    show us better jackass

  • @stergenakis Jesus that sounds bad to you

  • @stergenakis ti les mwre...

  • @stergenakis true lol makes me feel better as a guitar player to know that pros also make mistakes (and lots of mistakes)

  • riff at 3:50 sounds so sinister n evil!!! i love it!

  • Comment removed

  • @deadline27 Well, ever heard of trash metal? Nothing is perfect tho.

Keep 'em coming my fellow Metallica friends

  • Guitar needs but owns bass

  • someone could make a guitar rhythm sections?

  • Now I understand the importance of Cliff... LoL

  • @Darkazar52 it's more important the drums....

  • i just saw the sanitarium guitar track oin the last vid it also had 1 fuck who cant stand the flawless guitar licks

  • i have to admit, when everything is mixed, that solo sounds fucking good, but when its isolated, holy shit no offesne

  • Lol. You're all fucking fags ! Kirk Hammett wrote some of the most breath taking solos of all time. Every solos on KEM are absolutly fantastic. The RTL solo is just fucking awesome with the creeping death's one and trapped under ice contains freaking fast solos. The disposable heroes solo is quite one of my all time favorite, let's not forget the thing that should not be solo wich simply makes me jizz my freaking pants everytime I hear it ! Seriously I could go on like that forever. Kirk = GOD !

  • @klb20000 dave wrote most of the solos for Kill em all

  • @ThrasherOfPuppets I know but he changed them a little bit. I got the demo "No life 'til leather" on wich the solos are played by mustaine and they sound horrible compared to the one on the actual album. Kirk made them better. I'm not thrashing about Megadeth or Dave.. I like his version of "The Four Horseman" but, I find Kirk better. And I hate seeing people saying shit about Kirk...

  • @klb2000000 they (the solos) sound horrible? are you nuts? dave goes the fuck off on those demos! lol kirk is lazy simply for not writing his own solos on kill em' all and that, more than tone, or speed or anything else speaks more about his ability than anything else. just listen to the crap on the death magnetic album... horrible crap. that album would seriously rock in my opinion if it werent for the tasteless, sloppy playing of kirk hammett. metallica needs a new lead guitarist!

  • @deadline27 Yeah Kirk became horribly sloppy over the last couple of years. But I'm talking about his early solos. Those were rocking the shit out of everything. He was really talented.

  • @ThrasherOfPuppets yeah but kirk do his own solos on kill em all . listen to the kill em all demos with dave

  • @sk8rifa he copied them note for note pretty much from dave. except for what he couldn't play lol

  • @klb2000000 no kurt= GOD!

  • Guitars only?

  • it's clear where kirk double recorded the solo

  • for ppl who like to say that Kirk is over-rated: he may not be a technical wizard like some of the other shred guys out there like Paul Gilbert or whatever, but Hammett has some of the absolute most memorable solos and licks ever. Take Enter Sandman for example, it's not a technically difficult solo, but the phrasing and styling fits the song perfectly and is memorable. And for that, I think it puts him up there in the very top.

  • it doesn't matter ho did teach him! he is a good guitar player...

  • ive heard covers cleaner than that solo. haha

  • to live is to die in bass please ¡¡¡¡

  • somebdy tell me how to get this tone, its godly!!!

  • @KingNothingify gibson flying 80's or something and a mesa boogie head i think

  • this isnt kirk hammet on the solo is it really? it just dont sound as clean and for your info on the kirk sucks , he actually took lesson from joe satriani and hes a fuckin beast so i imagine kirk knows a thing or two bro lol

  • is it lead and rhythm?

  • Yep.

  • thats one kickass pick

  • you can hear some mistakes on the guitar solo

  • Orly? Kirk isn't the best, but he's very talented, go listen to your metalcore emo shit kid. Yeah i saw your favourites. Made me lol.

  • LOL. still mate. you dont know Kirk, and why say such a thing when you couldn't do better.. its hypocritical and shitminded.

  • Hey, people like Kirk.. they like the way he plays.. thats just your opinion, and to others that like him.. really mean nothing, your just wasteing your time, cut the drivel.

  • @junnybungle lol i love how metalcore kids like to bash metallica. they only like the same few bands and have no appreciation for those who created this wonderful genre known as metal.

  • your a fucking idiot.

  • and your so much better and playing in front of thousands people everyday?

  • As i commented earlier on this vid, NO, Kirk IS BETTER than me, etc etc, BUT, as i also said earlier on this vid, COMPARED TO OTHER FAMOUS GUITARPLAYERS, he sucks really hard..

  • i like how you hate his playing but are listening to a vid that is just KIRK and james playing... hmm go figure

  • @MetalJuggler You suck my n Kirk n all Metallica's fans really hard.. !!!!

    Asshole!!!

  • so funny

  • idk why you have thumbs down. kirk isnt a guitar god. look at hendrix, rhoads and the rest of the greats. kirk is good, but hes not the best.

  • This is so cool. The guitar solo is so much more pronounced

  • @SamTalmadge obv lol theres notin else there to drown it out :)

  • Gee thanks Sherlock (rolls eyes with arrogance and sarcasm)

  • i learned this song when i was 11..

and i still play it every once in a while

why? coz it kicks ASS! :))

  • this sounds cool, but empty haha

  • you shouldve kept the rythem playing under the solo, cause you can hear how there wasnt enough gain on some bits of the lead

    sounds awesome though!

  • guitars sound so heavy and badass

  • as you thing

  • No u.

  • Wow, sounds kind of weird. Shows you just how important bass and drums are.

  • still cool though

  • @vio2112 no, shows you how fucking bad ass even a single guitar track can be!

  • does anyone have a vid of jus vocals and guitar for this???

    plz

  • how did you do this man? it's geat!

  • This is so helpful to practice guitar with.

    Thanks for uploading this!

  • this vid can help alot for a guitar cover

  • more helpful for a drum cover I think

    =D

  • no, because of Guitar Hero Metallica, it has all the tracks apart

  • totally awesome shit man, this is the first time I have seen this on you tube, and it's gonna help me alot with my guitar skills now. Cheers.

  • awesome mate, how did u separate the guitars, bass, vocals n drums, special software??

  • It's impossible to do unless you find the master track of the song. Luckily Guitar Hero needs the master tracks, and that's where this was ripped from.

  • 3:09 it sounds as if he did several takes and then they put them together..

  • They record all the solos separately.

  • yeah thats what im saying he did different takes and it looks like that one was edited later and was not a full solo take

  • They do that with all the solos in all the songs.

  • almost every band does that.

  • legend!!

  • I played drums along to this with sound on full blast. Its as if i was playing with Metallica not along to it! :D

  • FUCK YEAH MEN .....SOUNDS GREAT

  • this is fucking sweeeeeet!!!!!!!!

  • How many songs have u done this to? It's fucking amazing.

  • metallica king of riffs

  • Dang dude how did you do this?

  • finely!, thank you, you wonderful person!!!!!!!

  • Man, I need MP3's of these guitar tracks. They'd be great to jam out to.

  • use a youtube downloader and converter

  • download the program atube catcher and then download the video and then converted to a MP3 ;)

  • yeah !!!!!!!!!!
