I can only imagine the Mess when a fish get tangle on all those lines

not really the 8 pound ball keeps the down riggers straight down from the boat and when a fish bites they are released from a clip were the line and bait is already 20-50 yards behind the wire. As far as winding they are hard wired electric... just a switch.

how do you wind up all those riggers when you hook on? you must lose a lot of fish to the downrigger wire..
