  • I cannot hear this without physically dancing

  • There was: 'ONE tunamera.' 'TWO Little boys'. The Kingston TRIO. The Bobby Fuller FOUR. >>>and there WAS was the Dave Clark FIVE.

  • Dave Clark was three things:

    1) The best BUSINESS man of all the 1960's group leaders.

    2) A Paul McCartney level of good looks, and

    3: A horrid drummer.

The success of the Dave Clark 5 was 75% Mike Smith, 25% Dave Clark's business sense.

  • Amazing how powerful those mikes are, they can be so far away from them,.

  • @edwinf9999 Mike Smith (lead singer) didn't need a mike at all - he was one!

  • a song you remember is this..

    from a bradford fan :)

  • EEEEAAAAGGGGLLLLEEESSSSS!!!!

  • 16 people aren't glad all over.

  • Dave looks like McCartney's cousin!

  • if u don't feel glad, after listenin' to this , you are beyond hope. DC 5 .

  • The record, "Louie Louie" was almost banned in the 1960's because of complaints that some of the lyrics were WAY too filthy. But the censors listened to it very carefully and finally decided that they couldn't really distinguish exactly WHAT all of the words the Kingsmen were singing... There was even talk about banning "Glad all over" from the radio waves because glad all over could have meant being glad ALL OVER including.. (well, you know where.. Ha-ha..) I'm glad all over that they didn't!

  • Everyone I knew loved the Beatles....Me I was always a Dave Clark Fan

  • Holy shit did this song rock at the time! haha

  • I was fortunate enough to see Dave Clark perform at the Hammersmith Palais in '66. We got to go backstage and meet the group. What a great bunch of guys. Unforgettable!!!!

  • CPFC

  • some how i like this group

  • Super POOL! Blackpool FC

  • EAAAGLES!!!

  • I really liked Dave Clark 5.

  • Only found this because it's the pre-match song played at Crystal Palace! :D

  • foot stomping great

  • The good old DC5.................

  • The rockin DC-5, one of the top groups of the early 60's! I was a teen, and all of us in our group rocked to them! The Beatles were #1, but the DC-5 gave them a good run, including many other rockin groups of that era. Most rockin groups were part of the British Invasion....

  • I thought this was The Beatles when I first heard this because the singer sounded like Paul McCartney to me. But that was like 4 or 5 years ago.

  • @Beatlesfangoogle Paul mCartney!!!!!!!!!!!! U really are not into music that wellif U thought it was HIM for gods sake!!!

  • @MsWired4sound Dude, I was in 5th grade, I just started getting into The Beatles at that point and I couldn't tell the difference. I asked my Dad who this was and he said The Dave Clark 5, and that was when I first heard of them.

  • Very Cool song from 64. Mike Smith (keyboards) was the singer and Dave Clark (drummer) was the leader of the band.

I understand that the DC5 made more appearances on Ed Sullivan than any other British Invasion Group....but Dave Clark won't release any of the Ed Sullivan footage for sale.

Come On Dave...We want to see the DC5 in action!

  • In response to the rap years....it's called rap crap.

  • back in the day when harmony could mix with rock n' roll.....certainly a lost art left in the dust of the 60's.......

  • This song remember me the days when I was very young, it's so beautiful sorry if I don't write well, I'm from Argentina and I'm learning english

  • @1701wanker Dave Clark is the drummer.

  • what one was dave clark

  • glad all over when I listen to you boys.....from germany.

  • thank you prenicketty...I hadn't seen this since it was on black and white TV when I was a teen.

    Easy, fun upbeat!

  • I'm 28... I prefer the 60's and 70's music over ANYTHING created in the last 20 years (With the exception of country music). Today's "Music" is nothing but a joke. Just people using the talents of those before them and remixing it so that they get paid. You will NEVER see any "stars" (present and in the future) put out their own talent to make it their own. They use and re use catchy harmonies and tunes and put their words in it to make a dollar. That's all today's music is. Period.

  • @Gr8CFce I have to wonder if the 60's and 70's didn't just suck up and use all talent that could ever be available for future use. Their seems to be have been a drought for the past 30-40 years, as far as talent goes. (The odd exception, of course.) I don't listen to the radio anymore, too many commercials, and crap music. I have a vast library, (vinyl, tapes, CDs) of all the music I love, and that's where I prefer to hang out!

  • @TheBrendadale AND, I LOVE Dave Clark 5. I think they were the first to actually have real live films to go with their songs. This would of course require further research. I'm 56, and I do remember a video of DC5 doing "Catch Me If You Can" in the early 60's. Check it out. I'm going to do that right now. TTYL!

  • @TheBrendadale Agreed. Although there was a short-lived 20s craze during the 60s (e.g. New Vaudeville Band), anybody who preferred 40-year-old tunes by Al Jolson or the Brox Sisters instead of the DC5 or the Doors would be considered hopelessly out of touch. However, they routinely play music from the 70s on non-oldie stations on commercial radio, but nobody thinks that's out of touch. Pop music absolutely sucks--either it's gangsta rap--which is already 20-30 years old...

  • ...or some sort of Hannah Montana/Justin Bieber/Lady Gaga warmed-over crap. I NEVER listen to commercial radio except when I'm forced to. I get all my music from podcasts. Two excellent podcasts are (Google them) The Lost Discs Radio Show which plays weird non-top-40 tunes from the 60s and 70s and the Hour of Slack from the Church of the Subgenius which plays really weird stuff from The Rudy Schwartz Project or Little Fyodor that's too strange for corporate 'alternative' radio...

  • And then there's the greatest radio station in the Universe, WFMU (definitely Google them). WFMU is fully listener-supported, so they're not nagging you for money every 15 minutes like public radio, and they play a wider variety of music on a single show than local corporate radio plays in a year. Seriously, if every other radio station got nuked from the face of the Earth, WFMU would make up for the loss. Definitely check out their program archives...

  • Swindon Town FC play this when we score. =D

  • @TownYsend they dont play it that often then

  • This song does what it say makes me feel Glad all over !! Thank you guys !!

  • CPFC for life!! Eaaaaagless!!

  • Eaglessssss

  • Blackpool fc vs preston, that glad all over was the best ever!

  • Always loved the song. Memories of my teen years when this sound blew me away.....

  • 12-15-2011. Ain't it fine, ain't it fine? Dave is 69. Happy Birthday, Dave. The Dave Clark Five will be one of the all-time greatest bands, IMO. It's just sad that you all couldn't quite get out of the shadow of that other group. Who were they, now? Oh yes. The Beatles (LOL).

  • Rap? I call it Monkey Yap. Stupid shit nowadays make me sick. Puke! Goash! Repulsive! If you don't like my attitude, you can #$%%$#$@#$%.

  • ONE OFF THE BEST, OFF THE SIXTIES.

  • Was very young when this came out, still gives me a kick. Wish they were all still here.

  • The creativity of the artists and the music was encouraged in the 60's. Today the lawyers have taken over the business. Groups like these would never have been on the stage today. Too much bull of team player crap and rules followers by the rules makers. It was the days of the best music and cars. What is out there today? Nonstop was my radio

  • gôh..really happy song

  • come on cardiff beat the southern fairies

  • im glad all over that palace beat man u

  • @TheSeanyboii123 wanker

  • Well said and accurate

  • Frickin' good energy!!! Meaty, beaty, big and bouncy!!!

  • @galastewart

    :)) Right.

  • Reminds me of the 1990 FA Cup Final

  • Who needs anti-depressants? This song always makes me feel better no matter how crappy I feel!

  • I wanna happy meal.

  • One of the great bands from the British Invasion!!!!

  • I was a teen back then and the sound blew me away..........!

  • voted by the american girls as the best looking group to come out of england ,,,

  • @bilby53 as I sit here with both of my feet a rockin' .

  • great songs live for ever

  • EAGLESSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I used to think this song belong to the Beatles. All these bands from the 60's seemed to be in good moods

  • Wonderful...I loved this in the 60's! Now I'm IN my 60's and this is our warm-up tune for aquafit 8-) I still love it ....makes me glad - all over x

  • ....jimhc.....unlike the rest of your generation ...you have acquired taste

  • I love the campy lip syncing and fake playing....the drummer is as convincing as if they had one of those toy mechanical monkeys playing.

  • this is where RandRoll started

  • Loving the blackpool fans who are citing this as their song - Dave was a Palace fan and this has been their song since the 60s - get your own song!

  • very cool

  • When I was in high school I actually preferred the Dave Clark 5 over the Beatles. We know who ultimately excelled....

  • @foneBro Me too!Iwas only10.

  • Cool..........

  • I am six years old... and this is good music.. they even play in my institution's nursery.. .. Hip-Hop sucks..

  • @TheLovie999 Good spellking for a 6 year old :/

  • poooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooort valeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • When I listen too this song I feel Glad all over.

  • EAGLEEEEEEESSSSSSS

  • @Tobygold1 ????????????????????????

  • I used to think this was one hot song...I guess it still is one great song. Too bad radio stations don't play stuff like this anymore. A hundred years from now, will people even know anything about the Dave Clark Five? I will say this, in the future I would be much prouder of what the 60's produced than anything this generation is coming up with. The rap years were a complete waste!

  • @BUZZ4134 100.7 plays it.

  • @BUZZ4134 you can hear a lot of great songs on gold radio from the 50,s to the 80,s

  • @BUZZ4134 Youv'e hit it right on the head!! I couldn't agree more with you

  • Mike Smith was gorgeous!!!

  • @Karen19501

    agreed.....and scrumpdillyicious

  • blackpool all over

  • BFC FOR LIFE

    6 YEARS SEASON SUPPORTER

AND IM FEELING GLAD ALL OVER YES I'M

  • port valeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • song of crystal palace

  • EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGLLLLLLLESSSSS!!!!!!!!

  • i heard this 5 times on saturday at bloomfield road, up the pool haha

  • You all seem to be having troubles about release dates. Did you know a radio station in southern Illinois was airing Beatles tunes in 1962? Records were being shipped from the UK to the station...G. Harrison's sister, an area resident, pressured the station to play them.

  • @7927jackpark I remember hearing about this from a DJ out of Chicago WLS. I was in Ft. Wayne and we heard it late one night.

  • Classic ... EAGLES !!!!

  • 3-1 away, first EVER club to win at your new stadium = PALACE :)

Too right I'm glad all over you dirty rent boys!

  • @Zog26 Liverpool just last week. Dahhh ;)

  • @Th3Main3venter Cup games don't count :)

  • I LOVE MIKE SMITH!

  • 12 people who disliked this were preston fans bcause they heard that song to much when they played us :D

  • crystal palace anyone?

  • @R0BMAFIA no.

  • @dee3star boo

  • @R0BMAFIA fuck off crystal palace hope cardiff stuff you

  • you don't know what legendary is until you see this, THUMBS UP FOR FAVE CLARK 5 AND MIKE SMITH !

  • i thought this was the beatles when i first heard this... :L

  • mike smith's vocals was up there with the best of them, amazing rock voice.

  • Who cares if people found this song through an advert? It's not HOW you found the music, but that you HAVE found the music.

  • I still have this album after all these years and it's in pretty good condition!

  • OOOHHH EAGLES WE LOVE YOU!!

  • I dont give a shit what all you lot are saying about hearing it from McDonalds advert. Stuck up fuckers. I heard it on the advert so there!! lmao

  • Have to give it to these guys, they knocked 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' off the chart, a great feat! But after that, well The Beatles went back to dominating the music industry...

  • Comment removed

  • They had a surf beat! I never noticed that before!

  • sorry.......but they were a two hit wonder!

  • I absolutely love this song...classic!!

    Never tire of hearing it.

  • im a 25 male and into hardcore / techno but for some strange reason i keep coming back here

  • @jimhc22 Same here but 26 year old female lol

  • @jimhc22 Most of today's generation won't look back to the 60s and listen to some really great bands. As a teenager, I had not only the greatest hits of the Five, but other bands, as well. Remember there was no computer backups, no stereo, it was just 4 or 5 guys on the stage doing their thing. The voice of this band beats the crap out of Mick Jagger.

  • @jimhc22

    Wise decision.

  • @jimhc22 Yep, but for me, it started here, and I always come back time to time.

  • @jimhc22 .....62 year old male here.....you tube is great....was 15 when this was a hit...

  • @jimhc22 You've lived before!

  • my son is 14 and absolutely loves this song!! hahaha such good taste in music he has!!! classics never get old :)))))

  • There are Dave Clark 5 Albums on itunes. Loved this band. Saw them in 1965.

  • someone told me there is a book by this title. cant't find it here in Cal, but if

anyone has access to it i would love a copy if it isbn't to expensive. also just

discovered that Through the UK there is a DC Five Hits(18or20 songs) you can order.

    it runs about $35.00

  • Gay

  • @A5HLEYHALLOW51 You are right this is gay as in the meaning 'happy'.

  • im lovin' it

  • my good taste in music brought me here

  • What a brilliant band! I was born in 1979 so missed this brilliant era but this is how I like to see people perform, really enjoying themselves and smiling! It's contagious :) Blimming BRILLIANT!

  • dynamic, positive, great times.

  • clearly 12 people arn't glad all over

  • Love singing this after the mighty Vale score; sounds great

  • The lead singer sounds a lot like early John Lennon.

  • @politicoochie09 It's funny you should say that. I liked John Lennon at the time and I also liked Mike Smith - the lead singer of Dark Clark 5, partly because he reminded me of John Lennon in looks and mannerisms as well. Another John Lennon sound-a-like was the lead singer of The Swinging Blue Jeans, with the man on his right also reminding me of John Lennon in looks!

  • Mcd's brought me here! :)

  • Palace brought me here...

  • 1964

  • This will always be the palace song

  • i wish aston villa sung this !

  • DC5, great 60's party music!!!!

  • Excellent loved this song as a really young lad :)

  • Dave Clark 5 not to be mistaken for Dave clarke (techno artist)

    LOL

  • I confess the MacDonalds advert brought me here!

  • When I was young, I used to confuse these guys with the Beatles.

  • @djhousefire

When I first heard this music on Macky d advert i thought it was the Beatles as well!

  • Quiet Riot WOOO (:

  • sounds so much like the beatles

  • 12 people aren't glad all over. :L

  • This Is my football teams song when they score a goal, so thats how I heard it. Its also an amazing song. Dave Clark FTW. :)

  • @AlfieH666 Blackpool or Palace?

  • @MrSavagepotato NO CONTEST, admittedly a Palace oldie but now "OWNED" by the Mighty BLACKPOOL FC. SEE/HEAR all matches last season and a couple before, even now we chant it louder and prouder. come on ye pool!!!!!

  • @itzray4 Nice one pal, couldn't have put it better myself... Thought you may have been a Palace supporter that just can't seem to come to terms with the fact that this song is tangerine now!!

  • Great video,great 60s band.The 12 dislikes,must be Americans,or spotty kids,who don"t appreciate good music!

  • You can say Beatles !

  • I came here, because I'm a Blackpool fan!

  • John Lennon look alike WOW. X

  • i got this song of Mc ad

  • @ureatinghabits whoo the hell r u wat the hell is a mod

  • I remember hearing this track as young child in the 60s.......a classic! Thanks for posting.

  • im 13 and this song is awesome and im a emo so thats kinda wierd :?

  • @Lauraliggleton It just means you have good taste!

  • @Lauraliggleton yes, it seems that you are a mod and not an emo

  • I don't take too kindly to this being labelled the 'Song off the McDonalds advert'. Jeez
