@fytr4lyf1 I think the kittens did the job and now they are trying to get bunny DNA on the clothes so they have an out! But the bunnies ain't playing that! They have seen this before especially the one with the bent ears he is the leader......so watch you backs kitties you have to sleep sometime and then it's on Bunny time!
I have 3 fabulis rabbits (adults ) 7 beautiful kits (babies ), my dogs ( bassett hound, cocker, and yorkie ) love and play with my rabbits, my bassett hound carries the babies around very gently. I have raised cats, with rabbits its all about exposure
Bunnies will kick the shit out of the kittens. A family friend has some the he lets live in his yard (they fend for themselves) and when someone asks if he's afraid about the neghborhood cats eating them he says that he fears more for the cats than the bunnies. =/
We used to have a rabbit along with 3 cats. The cats always viewed the rabbit as a severly deformed cat and were terrified of him. They didn't meet until they were all full grown (aquired rabbit by finding him running loose in a park)
@butterfly50119 kittens learn at a crucial stage, exposing them to animals such as this will prevent them from attacking them, I exposed my cat to baby chicks, and now my hens walk with chicks and the adult cat does NOT attack or try and hunt them, she lays there and lets them peck around her. This is what animal trainers do. :p (its kitten training and what this video is showing is just that)
My hen has just had a chick ( u tube video somewhere under Dixie Chick and her Chick Buttons ) My cats ( small , 2 years old ) get on fine with the hens and the 4 little call ducks. Do you think I ever dare let the hen outside with her chick to roam about? The cats are pretty good at catching the odd bird . Thanks
And cats don't bite? Ask Siegfried and Roy. How about birds? A Macaw can bite through a walnut or a tasty finger. How about those cute chimpanzees that can tear off a foot? They have 7x to 10x the upper body strength of a human male. Significantly, one doesn't know what the animal is thinking and this is why animal behavior is unpredictable. Hell,, human behavior is undependable. So don't bet the house on trusting a tiger or the rabbit's health on a cat's claws....
I don't want rabbit, I was feeding my cousin's and had to go get some more food. When I did, it moved it's head around it and bit my finger hard, making it bleed.... Nice video though.
Hardly. The kittens were just batting them. Declawing cats is cruel as it gives them no way in which to scratch any itches they may have, defend themselves against predators and it can affect their climbing so they'll fall.
Maybe you should think before you mindlessly decide that animals should be operated on.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
How mindless is it not to realize that the cat's claws could scratch the rabbits eyes? Cats are carnivorous predators. Are you so ignorant you didn't know they stalk and kill? Rabbits are herbivores. If you want to expose a prey rabbit to predator cats then declaw the cats, otherwise don't potentially damage the rabbits, and then you won't need to declaw the cats.
Again you prove you ignorance and arrogance. I have kept cats all my life and they do not become real predators until adulthood. In the meantime, it is nessecary to expose them to such animals as these so that they do not regard them as 'prey' when they are adults. May I remind you also that rabbits have claws and therefore the kittens are equally at risk. Should they therefore be declawed also? I think not.
@KTedham Didn't mean to sound like I was contradicting you. Rabbits fight like Mauy Thai fighters. I watched cottontail one tear up a yellow lab a few years back. Both lived but that lab doesn't chase little critters anymore.
@Robbob9933 lol, no probs. I think I just misunderstood. :) They can do some damage when they want to although I think they usually choose to run first. :)
@KTedham finally another 2% member of the population who knows what they are talking about... I exposed my kitten to baby chicks. now as an adult 4 year old cat she does not attempt to hunt chicks, she will lay there and ignore them even if they walk passed her face.. she will hunt sparrows though.. I am at the process of teaching another kitten, better not film it and put in on outube though.. i dread to think of the trolling haha
May I also add that FYI I have seen what a predator cat can do to a rabbit and it isn't pretty. As I mentioned, introducing them this way stops the kittens from seeing the rabbits as prey later in life.
Seeing as you own 2 rabbits, I thought you would have approved with stopping them being killed needlessly.
@toemirou clearly you have never dealt with a rabbit that doesn't want to get back in its cage. 15 years later I still have scars from that spoiled brat. XD
Be thankful that you weren't trying to put an unwilling cat back in its cage, then. I still maintain that rabbits' claws and cats' claws are not equal in damage potential. The scratches I've received from upset rabbits resulted in red welts, whereas cats have drawn blood from me when they weren't even being remotely aggressive.
i think they were playing some kind of tag. sure looked like it, the pole was kind of being used as a boundary line, and the bunnies seemed to be winning lol

Hell no. These bunnies are under attack. Kittens have claws and you can see them being used. Kill maybe not but if that claw hits the eye the harm is done. They don't "play" they are attacking their prey.
I condemn this video. It is cruel, and anyone promoting this crap is wrong.
You are an idiot. You obviously know nothing about cats or rabbits. I used to have cats and guinea pigs who played like this all this time. the bunnies are just as curious as the cats. I hope something that is TRULY dangerous eats you.
I agree with your advocating the rabbits' safety, and I do think most people shouldn't attempt this, but having had both rabbits and cats together with zero harm done for years I'd say that the rabbits are confident and content. None of my cats are declawed, and have never once injured my rabbits, who are frankly far more likely to chase the cats that anything else. Rabbits are gregarious and hardy little guys when raised well, and these seem fine.
Listen, I'm all for animal rights and against hunting, poaching, etc..
I've seen this video, and I assure you that the kittens had no intention to hurt the rabbits. You can even tell they were somewhat intimidated by them because when the bunnies hopped toward them, they backed off and ran. All the kittens were doing was being curious and playful.
i like the video because cats i find to be really cut bunnies as well. however i don't condone cats nor bunnies for that matter to be harmed. my stance about ctas being hunted is wrong and curel. i don't care if they are house cats wild cats or stray cats there is no justification for. same goes for bunnies. furthermore cats are not the types of animals that attack other animals. your idea of cats and bunnies being hunted is sick you must obviously be mentally ill minded.
What people don't seem to realise is that rabbits are actually usually more confident than the cats. Because cats are more used to being independent, they will freak out when another 'animal' cat or rabbit, comes towards them and run away. Rabbits are used to showing their dominance. So when they meet another animal they will run up to it so the two can figure out who is boss. This usually results in the rabbit thinking it is the boss of the cat... my cats are PETRIFIED of my rabbits..
i find cats are a tad shy at first but also very loving as well. they are not only very smart animals. and contrary to what the previous choad put before me cats are actually pretty brave they are more than capable of sticking up for themselves.
There is a escaped bunny in my neighborhood. He has been on the lam for about a year now and cats seem to be afraid of him or something, cuz he's still alive. Roams from yard to yard, street to street.

the kittens were scared and curious about the rabbits. prolly their first time seeing a rabbit. after a while, they got comfy with the critters which explains their bold attempts to jump the bunnies. obviously no one was hurt in the making of this youtube video. the rabbs held their own against the kittens. im sure that if the owner felt danger to the bunnies, they would have seperated them.

wow... these bunnies were in danger from the start... 4 cats against 2 bunnies!! animal cruelty right there you were letting the bunnies be attacked by the cats!
am i the only one (of few) who notice the cats were in "attack" mode?!? They're crouching down, trying to pounce, the way they catch prey. the rabbits are just being curious and playing around, as they usually are.
It's funny how the cats try to crouch down to pounce, and the rabbits just move everywhere like "um.. i still can see you", the cats r like "wtf?! u'r not supposed to know i'm up to something"
Kittens were getting more confident and thus a bit more rough at the end of the clip - ie. jumping on top of the rabbits. Curiously, it didn't seem that the rabbits cared. Wonder what happens later...did all become good friends? ;)
I love how the cats have that one bunny surrounded, then the second breaks in, and you can just see the yellow cat going, "hello, how did this second suspect break through the ring?"
When the cats first come to the scene, it looks likea bunch of gangsters were coming LOL :] your bunnies are so fast! They're all so cute. The beige-ish colored cat seems to be the most nervous around the bunnies~ adorable.
lol @ the music playing, it makes the video seem like something intense is about to happen. but the only thing is that the bunnies scare the kittens !!!! :( bully bunnies
I don't think kittens that young would face much of a threat to a rabbit, they were just playing. Besides, if the bunnies were scared they wouldn't be running at the cats or grooming themselves in between them. The kittens were most scared at this point XD My friend had an adult cat that was horrified of the rabbits:p The other one would lick the rabbit's head:D
It was curious, It was only trying to play. If it actually wanted to hurt the rabbit it could, but it didnt. Chill :P
And besides, if the cats are raised around rabbits, then there is a big change that when they are adults, rabbits wont become their food, but their buddies. That happens quite often with animals who are raised around other species.
they are not playing, they are hunting. They may become acutomed to other pets if they grow up together. But on this clip it's pure, yet young, agression.
Having been around more cats in my life time thus far than I care to remember your comment stikes me as one that is from someone that is seldom around cats.
They don't "play" as you idiots call it. Don't pretend they are children. They hunt! They kill by clawing their prey! And very destructive if left outside.
I have cats, I've dealt with rabbits and cats and yes, kittens DO play. They bunnies in this were not hurt and you're just making yourself look like an idiot.
Rabbits lack the enzyme needed to break down infection, so it is dangerous for them to get a wound - it could form into an abscess, which are very hard to treat in rabbits. It is best to monitor them carefully and make sure they don't get wounded.
Rabbits will die from fright as easily as a wound. A cat can kill it just by pinning it down for a while. I don't get how this was supposed to be 'funny'.
You sir, are a terrible person. How DARE you tell someone to destroy their pets! How fucking dare you! Ignorant fucks like YOU should be destroyed motherfucker! I can only hope that karma comes and bites you in the ass, you make me sick!
you sir are an absolute cold black hearted dick for saying touch terrible things. i mean you know what we may not all be kitten lovers in here but to say you want to see kittens mauled by coyotes is beyond cruel. by you saying this is totally in humane and i hope the coyotes at your sorry ass alive.
Domesticated baby animals are not hunters by nature as long as they are being fed by people and not needing to. A kitten cant kill that bunny even if it wanted too, and it was only curious to begin with. You need meds.
Cats and rabbits don't mix to well. A cats claw to a rabbits ear can cause damage to it. The rabbits front teeth have the power to bite strait threw a cats paw. I have had 12 cats and 3 rabbits, One rabbit nearly lost it's ear due to some playing. Please keep this in mind when mixing diffrent breeds of animals together. Not trying to start something people, just want to make the risks known.
This is exactly how my 6 week old feral kitten behaved when I brought her home to my two dwarf rabbits. They'd chase each other, smack with a paw, nibble with the teeth, testing each other's limits, learning how to get along. Now they groom each other, curl up and sleep together.

Its really not a good idea to put bunnies and cats in the same area :(

I have cats and a bunny. And all is peace in my home (-:
luvmebats 3 years ago
am i the only one (of few) who notice the cats were in "attack" mode?!? They're crouching down, trying to pounce, the way they catch prey. the rabbits are just being curious and playing around, as they usually are.
It's funny how the cats try to crouch down to pounce, and the rabbits just move everywhere like "um.. i still can see you", the cats r like "wtf?! u'r not supposed to know i'm up to something"
Buns own!!
anaerobe 4 years ago
Kittens were getting more confident and thus a bit more rough at the end of the clip - ie. jumping on top of the rabbits. Curiously, it didn't seem that the rabbits cared. Wonder what happens later...did all become good friends? ;)

I love how the cats have that one bunny surrounded, then the second breaks in, and you can just see the yellow cat going, "hello, how did this second suspect break through the ring?"
LovelyLady1988 4 years ago
I love the video.
I had a black and white rabbit named Kenny Cheshop that would charge our mallard ducks out of the blue when the ducks came over to investigate.
My kitten, Furry Elvis used to try to take down our full-grown rabbits when he was just a little bitty thing. It was so funny!
The music is awesome.

:( bully bunnies
eu13sx 4 years ago
That is just so cute:D
I don't think kittens that young would face much of a threat to a rabbit, they were just playing. Besides, if the bunnies were scared they wouldn't be running at the cats or grooming themselves in between them. The kittens were most scared at this point XD My friend had an adult cat that was horrified of the rabbits:p The other one would lick the rabbit's head:D

I would kill the first kitty that smacks the rabbit as punishment.
boeing747300 4 years ago
It was curious, It was only trying to play. If it actually wanted to hurt the rabbit it could, but it didnt. Chill :P
And besides, if the cats are raised around rabbits, then there is a big change that when they are adults, rabbits wont become their food, but their buddies. That happens quite often with animals who are raised around other species.
DalLoli 4 years ago
they are not playing, they are hunting. They may become acutomed to other pets if they grow up together. But on this clip it's pure, yet young, agression.
boeing747300 4 years ago
Having been around more cats in my life time thus far than I care to remember your comment stikes me as one that is from someone that is seldom around cats.
herpybobo 4 years ago
That's how kittens play. Have you ever been around kittens? They are rough and tumble.

They don't "play" as you idiots call it. Don't pretend they are children. They hunt! They kill by clawing their prey! And very destructive if left outside.
Do wildlife a favor and destroy them.
boeing747300 3 years ago
I have cats, I've dealt with rabbits and cats and yes, kittens DO play. They bunnies in this were not hurt and you're just making yourself look like an idiot.

Also... they kill with a bit to the neck by crushing the air ways, not with their claws. Claws are used to hold the prey immobile.

This is cute but, cat claws are poisonous to rabbits.
RallyHome 3 years ago
Claws aren't poisonous, an infection from a bite or clawing, yes. :/
LittleAnoki 3 years ago
Still dangerous for cats to be playing with rabbits. One scratch can cause severe infection and kill the bunnies.
RallyHome 3 years ago
Rabbits lack the enzyme needed to break down infection, so it is dangerous for them to get a wound - it could form into an abscess, which are very hard to treat in rabbits. It is best to monitor them carefully and make sure they don't get wounded.
thefinewino 3 years ago 3
Rabbits will die from fright as easily as a wound. A cat can kill it just by pinning it down for a while. I don't get how this was supposed to be 'funny'.
peedy789 3 years ago
If you studied this vid, you'd take note that the bunnies were unfased, the kittens were like "What the hell are these things?"

You sir, are a terrible person. How DARE you tell someone to destroy their pets! How fucking dare you! Ignorant fucks like YOU should be destroyed motherfucker! I can only hope that karma comes and bites you in the ass, you make me sick!

Yeah. I like to see kittens being mauled by coyotes. It's so cute to see the coyotes play with them.
Karma doesn't exist my friend. It's a human illusion.
boeing747300 3 years ago
you sir are an absolute cold black hearted dick for saying touch terrible things. i mean you know what we may not all be kitten lovers in here but to say you want to see kittens mauled by coyotes is beyond cruel. by you saying this is totally in humane and i hope the coyotes at your sorry ass alive.

And seeing bunnies about to get mauled by cats is ok because cute kitties do the killing ???
Wild cats need to be hunted with pitbuls. It's a great sport you'll like it as much as bunnies being mauled by cats.
boeing747300 3 years ago
i don't think animals of any kind should be hunted for sport that is cruel and sickening. any human being that does that should be hung out to dry.

explain to me why seeing bunnies about to get mauled is fun and cute??
boeing747300 3 years ago
