Just going through videos of Scaffold piercings being done so I can pluck up the courage to finally get one, I've wanted it for yeaaars :)

@XDXxLITE I got mine done, if it's numbed it's fine, it doesn't hurt much, just a bit of pressure :)

i had mine done two weeks ago, but i have two holes, then i get the bar fitted in 5 weeeks, as its less irritable, and lets you get used to it, and lets it heal. people say i have high pain intolerance, and it didnt hurt at all, ive also got tragus done that didnt hurt, my mate pierced my cartalidge 3 times, no ice, hurt abit, but not much, just stings. my top like one, bleed like for a few days everytime i cleaned the like stuff off, but its normal. and i had mine done £30. hope it helps. xx

i got that shit. i love it.! but WASSS pretty painful on a 1-10 scale 10 being the most painful i wud give it a 8 or 9 =/

instead of a metal bar i got a clear plastic one put through but i didnt get told why... would there be a spesific reason for this ?

It's either a ptfe or a bioflex one.they are more flexible so they don't put as much pressure on the piercing which is good for new piercings and I think piercings can heal better with them aswell.

@xsupershrimp It could be because titanium bars sometimes react with the piercing surface and cause infections; it's really rare but it does happen. Plastic bars don't react with the piercing so they might've done that to reduce the risk of infection :) I had my scaffold done and changed it to a plastic bar after a few weeks because the metal irritated it a bit, changed it to a bioflex bar and haven't had any trouble since :) hope that helps!
