  • I could use one of those... To uh.. hunt.. deer..

  • Super stealthy and quiet! With almost unlimited ammunition and deadly precision while moving, it makes for an unmatchable threat on the battlefield.

    /end sarcasm

  • would an electromagnetic pulse weapon disable something like that.

  • @7digitalSunday Of course. It's electronic.

  • @7digitalSunday Yes: just drop the EMP on the 'copter :-)

  • A hunter killer. Yay!

  • no no it's shooting tennis balls

  • Those are 40mm grenades.

The idea is to arm a small UAV helicopter with the 40mm stacked grenade tubes. They could definitely do some damage.

  • Lulz

  • very toght! 4 kids killing :D

  • omfg its airborne?

  • Metalstorm .. Cybernet .. it's allll gooooood.

  • Come With Me If Your Want To Play Tennis!

  • Looks good. Just need to attach a SAW lmg to the bottom, and pack about... 500 rounds I guess.

  • so it's a flying tennis ball launcher. woohoo.

  • You do know a tennis ball launcher hitting your face about 90 miles an hour could either kill you or turn you into a vegetable.

  • it will do both

  • @ynotdrol2 Why turn people in to vegetables with Tennis balls when we can get real vegetables in the freezer!

  • @ynotdrol2 No way. Tennis balls absorb impact. Now if it was a baseball...

  • well.. check what metal storm is and you'll understand that those tennis balls might be 40mm granades... Anyway, there is nothing new in the design, just putting two technologies together.

  • its not the point

its a small remote controlled attack helicopter

effective for recon and stealth strikes

  • Stealth? Come on the UAV is the most Insecure weapon by stealth in the American Army, A Russian Application for I-Phone is out you can pick up Vid Feed from them as soon as they launch, come on, America is just War Mongering

  • @cgran22 Whats wrong with war mongering? Technology advances quicker in war :P

  • But don't get me wrong, i know your point im just annoyed that people know little about lots.

  • @WellDressedKiller those were grenades

  • @WellDressedKiller It fires 40 mm grenades, you fucking moron.

  • wow where do you bought this

  • no flight - no good

  • Absolutely thats why I have uploaded these videos to you tube to showcase this technology to be used against the American people with us to foot the Bill.

  • Fact is the chances of the US getting a hold of any Metal Storm technology is pretty slim, the Australian Government has blocked most moves for it to be taken overseas.

  • Im american, but i love australian weps! Plus, i don't like the idea of whiping out some ppl... well, atleast bush wont be bothering you guys anymore.

  • I hope you aren't serious.

  • They see me trollin' they hatin'.

  • @websuspect Yeah, its funny how most people get really excited about these weapons and how we need more so that "no one will mess with us" when in fact these weapons are probably meant for us some day in the future.

  • Quesion should we really be makin stuff like this seems to me that to push technology towards the likes of our movies, terminator, robocop, etc is just asking for trouble

  • There's a video on youtube of a guy shooting a 12 gauge attached to a rc heli. You can see the heli moving backwards from the kick. I think that would not be a problem with this heli.

  • like in a laser tv remote you have to hit that tiny cell but with radio you dont even have to be looking at it

  • Can a robot not have to use radio controled equipment and use laser controled robots. When a robot part needs to recieve info for the next movement a laser cell picks up the signal via a laser being shined on the its solar cell area, and then based on were laser shined on. Determines which solar cell part will move,Of course the robot would be in the dark other wise the sun light would interfere. If used in space the robot would be in the dark or on the dark side moon.Mile capability, under H2O 10"

  • if you say the variation in light intensity would fuck up its data, then how would "being in the dark" help at all? since there's still variation as you are not in a variable free environment...

Transmitting data via laser isn't that fragile

  • Laser is just a energy transfer not a light switch or data transfer just laser energy light for energy for small devices allowing less. No more dangerous electric wires exposed to elements.

  • but can it fly?

  • I'm not sure that it matters that the thing is not flying...it could shot one big round at you...recover and do it later....

For me, this makes me think of counter measures...and although a sadistic game....there's a power trip involved here

btw newton's third law, there's a recoil at the exact instant...i think Esb above has a great point...the system of the one dimensional recoil and the plane of the the rotors give plenty of fudge assuming a smart control ciruit.

  • Fake.

  • hahah this is sick i want one to kill the annoyoying birds outside my house lmfao

  • Try a shotgun.

  • damn, it's either that the metal storm bullets-fired-before-recoil-kicks-in concept really works or this dragonfly ain't airborne. what you guys think? it just seems to be too stable

  • The little barrels have springs to absorb the recoil.

  • @websuspect I think its both - absorbed recoil and not being airborne.

  • You have a point this is sitting on a stable surface. It is way too conveniently cropped as well.

  • I'm sure the gyroscopic forces created by the rotors help out more than anything else.

  • I'd have to say on a stable surface as well

  • @sandinsx Its not airborne.

  • Like a little buzzer.

    And fiering CLOCK CLOCK CLOCK.

Shit what they will think up to next ?

  • First!
