Nice song ! somehow the video conversion has some lip synch effect -- the sound goes faster than the mouth movement.

In music video, they play the song live for the singers to sing along too. Then, they stripped it and add the studio file to add in post-production. Thus, the clean-cut sound that you get. As for the off-set from the lips and the song is most likely the youtube conversion that screws it up. Youtube tends to do that a lot.

Yes it is. It's just the same as Doungjet. Again like Lanivira said, some composers use Doungjai just to help make the song rhyme.

There are a lot of Khmer covers on khmer songs. Doung Jai is especially common in those covers. For example, "Mor Sel Menh" , "Sneah Chlong Vaeha" and "Jomreang Nirk Bong" are Thai/ or to the Thai way of speaking, such as the rise and fall of syllables, etc. in the song.
