You ought to see it. Basically, the kids in Japan get unruly and the government kidnaps one class each year and forces them to fight to the death on a remote island as a way of scaring them straight. It actually has some really great underlying themes, such as the influence of war, anti government, the brief nature of youth and the impetuousness inherent to it.

I think you should see it, the action sequences are stunning but it is also funny and moving in places.
