Any martial art that originated from a nation with no boxing/combat sports champion is BS! Foremost is CMAs. China, a nation of more than a billion population but without a single boxing champion. Lol! Chinamen can't fight!
there is no best but the better ones would include grappling and striking and a more complete stand up and ground fighting and a transition between the two
@picklejarwontopen Depends I can take 10 different art styles and Master them Bruce lee only did about 5 He'd still beat mah Oss so mixing is good but still not the best
@Foxprime555 in general and experienced Muay Thai fighter would destroy a fight whos equally experienced in Tae Kwon Do. Muay Thai fighters can put up a good fight against MMA fighters but ultimately MMA fighters will have the upper hand cuz they take the best from all the martial arts styles.
Yeah. All this MMA crap saying it's the best. They have to worrying about atmosphere as well. Since all MMA fights takes place on padded mats, the human body will never withstand the outdoor weather and surfaces.
@tywainwright1 chinese martiel arts tries to avoid grabbing the opponent because that reduces the fight the sheer strength, if taken to the ground there a preventative methods such as a simple firm stance and there are also recovery techniques, with a knife its like any other fight its just the opponent has an advantage
russia dosent have the best not theres isnt good its just that isnt the best ip man or royce gracie yoshida and rizo ninjutsu nintai jutsu are good it is just who ever fights
The answer is..ask yourself..whether you are or not a truly Fighter..it depends on your capabilities..not necessarily depending on the type of martial arts...TQ
@BabaBart67 because humans not only fight in hit combats. But we also wrestle. Meaning if we look at fighting purely with kicks and punches, muay thai wins hands down. But it is not enough against wrestlers, they will try to submit and if the fight goes down to the ground may thai is not sufficient. One must also know how to submit and choke etc.. This is visible in mixed martial arts (mma), where grappling is also a huge part of fighting. I would say muay thay with sambo or BJJ is best combo.
It depends on the person at the end ( When all playing fields are even). When royce was tapping guys out easy, they didnt know what he was doing. Now that everyone knows how to fight in every combat range, it all depends on who wants it more, whose tougher, and who is mentally , physically and spiritually ready.
This is only logical, the best Martial Art comes with no single style but with multiple styles and attributes. The Fighter being very quick, flexible (can execute attacks of all sorts and have the eye to block attacks quick enough), excellent stamina, hits hard and a killer predator instinct and most importantly the brains to coordinate his attacks and defense. However humans can never be perfect that's y no one can stay champion forever.
@milad2007halo3 the same with thaibox, sambo, judo and jujutsu, ninpo, karate etc. Btw there are hundrets of kung fu styles and it takes a lifetime to master them. They incluide eye, neck and groin attacks, which isn't for k1
Strange that you're being taught in martial arts theory by someone named obiwan, i know :)

so i guess jeet kune do is? other than that kung fu is good too. so is muay thai or kick boxing. or jiu jitsu.
@cosminso1230 You can apply this to any martial art. So it also went with Jigoro Kano, the founder of kodokan judo, who took the best elements from each martial art. He attended many different styles of ju-jutsu, aikido, iaido and karate.

@redhairmarimo I know, my penis gets in my way when I'm throwing a kick. I accidently knocked out my last opponent when throwing a high kick and caught him in the chin with my tip!!!
all styles are differently hard to master, for instance, muay thai is a fairly easy fighting style which makes it popular... alot of kung fu styles or capoeira is harder to master and takes longer time... (with about the same effiency)
conclusion: the ones who trains only to become strong should stick to something more simple like kickboxing.. the ones who want the whole cultural feelings and doesnt mind how long it will take to become good should train kung fu or karate
@bluesky605 Forgive me, but that is the biggest chiche in martial arts. That statement does not come from any honest, objective assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of various arts. It is just a political statement, designed to keep peace within the martial arts community. We don't use that kind of logic in any other area. No one pretends every compact car is just as good as any other; no one pretends every way of cooking an omlette is equally good as any other. It's nonsense.
@fileboy2002 no one is saying all martial arts are equal. They each have strs and weaknesses. But at the same time there is no such thing as some superior martial art either. And competitions based trying to find one are so limited, 99% of styles get left out because of the rule set alone. There are more than 10,000 martial arts in china alone. Im sure you have never seen or heard of 99% of them. Both of these questions/answers are nonsense to me.
@fileboy2002 in the end fights come down to individual and situations. If there were ever a superior martial art, we would all be training it now and we would not be having this disscussion. Different martial arts are good at different things, and even within the same community of styles (grappling for instance), catch wreslters dont do any better or worse then jujutsu fighters. Weapon styles dont tend to fare better or worse either (depending on the weapon actualy, not the style).
@fileboy2002 strikers dont tend to fare any better or worse either for thier respective competitions. And if even if thier is some magical mystical superior martial art out there, who the hell would teach it? How would we know it if we saw it? is it unstoppable? does it grant magical powers? can it stop a bullet? is it even applicable or relavent? I stick to what works best for me given my situation. I dont compete, so i tend to stay away from styles that focus on ring combat. I fight in -
@fileboy2002 the streets and in my nieghbor hood, rarely are fights unarmed or 1 vs 1. So many of these competition styles would get me killed. But outside of my situation, they can be effective if the opponent isnt armed or has friends with him. Different arts are better at different things. No one art can do it all, and the few that do seperate those skills becoming the jack of all trades(bad to ok at everything), master of none(exceptional at nothing).
this is senseless. there is no best martial art. it only depends on the practitioner. the one who made and uploaded this video doesn't know anything about martial arts.
i train boxing for years and i like it the most.....sometimes i also go to thaiboxing or wrestling but even if i spar with thaiboxers i can see how helpful my boxing skills are ....wrestling is a lot of fun too and its really really hard ....if you combine boxing or muay thai with wrestling (or an similar art like bjj) then i think its almost perfect :)
Every martial art has their own techniques to defeat the enemy . the useless martial art will be rejected unless they are really useful in combat for survial. So It's difficult to say which is the best martial art. in my opinion there is no the best martial art, only there is the best fighter. an amateur practise a famous martial art can't defeat a person was trained well. I'm sorry for my clumsy english.
you learn alot from all styles. it's hard to say a style is better than another. that's why i like to learn as much as i can from all of them. but my favorites are judo, hapkido, bjj, muay thai, krav maga, and kung fu. i've never practiced any style of kung fu, but i've seen it and i'd love to learn it.
guns are excellent for self-defense, but you can be taken down from behind, have your gun knocked out of your hand, it might jam, or you might not have it on you at the time. martial arts are good for times like those. that's why militaries train people in guns and self-defense. plus, i think this video is mainly talking about sports competition.
Stupid concept. Maybe the best way to determine best martial art is to put them all in life and death situations on the street and see how they pull though. Even then it is about the practitioners level of skill and sharpness.
Tournament competition is not the way to determine
bull crap..........the best martial arts is if you master you own ability..boxing whatever... pick up a style,,,but if your crap at it then what does that do for you...then again you have a style but the fighter is 65kg and the other guy is fit strong and reasonably good with his martial arts..what then ???
what do you mean with styles? there is only one style that i have seen, its kickboxing.... everyone just screw the style they train and go for kickboxing.
It depends on whos fighting. You know a boxer would rape you if you tried to change hands with him. And if you dont, go to s boxing gym and try their good, great or best boxers. I did. Muay Thai was nice, it is very practical. I find boxing to be much, much harder than any art out there to master.
but it depends, i think there are no styles, there are just different ways of competing..
a boxer is not allowed to kick, a taekwondo practioner keeps their hands low because everyone kicks and so on, if they entered UFC they would both have to change their guard and stance
how exactly??? and yes i am rather good at both not blowin my own trumpet but i won alot of matches as a boxer but i love kickboxing and have won more there but i find it trikier and more technicall than boxing because you basically learn boxing and kickboxing at the same time...
Kind of. A boxer would knock anyone the fuck out if they tried to exchange with hands though. To beat a boxer you would have no choice but to kick knee and clinch. Nobody could fuck with a great boxer with measly primitive punches, and if that kick misses, watch out.
Grappling arts have potential to beat boxing and muay thai as well.... vice versa.
the best martial art is hand to hand combat for 12 or 3 n jodo ,ji jutsu are good for 1 people . the world best martial art is sholin kung fu not kung fu but pure sholin kung fu
no matter wat is it" the old is gold' . wrestler maybe strong but sholin tchnique is best for fighting n sholin hav power tooo. cuz of there daily traning. n true sholin people r less in this world nowdays. the birth of alll fighting skillls is sholin with secret skills
local daily training? or training all over the world for wrestling plus wrestlers are exposed to every style and body type and situation. so they training are not better. One more thing since they are monks. i dont see them making babies hince killing off they own potential. Im starting to think a high school level wrestler can take on a sholin master. jk
there is no best style, the man or woman makes the style, mike tyson muhammad ali boxing that's style, bj penn fighting thats style, they take what they have learned and use it to what they are gifted at

i train boxing for years and i like it the most.....sometimes i also go to thaiboxing or wrestling but even if i spar with thaiboxers i can see how helpful my boxing skills are ....wrestling is a lot of fun too and its really really hard ....if you combine boxing or muay thai with wrestling (or an similar art like bjj) then i think its almost perfect :)

there are no best martial art seriously this a lame title and stupid video
all martial arts has weakness and advantages therefore styles are not important to one individual but the fighter itself is more important

Girl slapping is the best martial art.
gizmo00999 2 years ago
Every martial art has their own techniques to defeat the enemy . the useless martial art will be rejected unless they are really useful in combat for survial. So It's difficult to say which is the best martial art. in my opinion there is no the best martial art, only there is the best fighter. an amateur practise a famous martial art can't defeat a person was trained well. I'm sorry for my clumsy english.

A mixture is good, but forget about aikido!
82equinox 2 years ago
you learn alot from all styles. it's hard to say a style is better than another. that's why i like to learn as much as i can from all of them. but my favorites are judo, hapkido, bjj, muay thai, krav maga, and kung fu. i've never practiced any style of kung fu, but i've seen it and i'd love to learn it.
greatblueherron 2 years ago
The best style is the one with the simplest most devastating techniques. Swift brutality is best.
jeromeT1020 2 years ago
exactly, finish someone off for good as fast as you can. that's why i love hapkido and krav maga. its also why i want to learn kung fu.

a freestyle fighter beat the ju jitsu champ but i suppose that werent down to style, could have been a better fighter

guns are excellent for self-defense, but you can be taken down from behind, have your gun knocked out of your hand, it might jam, or you might not have it on you at the time. martial arts are good for times like those. that's why militaries train people in guns and self-defense. plus, i think this video is mainly talking about sports competition.

@jeromeT1020 yeah, no fights i have had irl have looked anything like a sparring match or competition

Stupid concept. Maybe the best way to determine best martial art is to put them all in life and death situations on the street and see how they pull though. Even then it is about the practitioners level of skill and sharpness.
Tournament competition is not the way to determine

bull crap..........the best martial arts is if you master you own ability..boxing whatever... pick up a style,,,but if your crap at it then what does that do for you...then again you have a style but the fighter is 65kg and the other guy is fit strong and reasonably good with his martial arts..what then ???

mma is not a style dumbass. its the name for a competition in which all martial arts are used.
Iceberqe 2 years ago
you know what i ment
i ment that knowing several diffrent martial arts is the best
tomlukman 2 years ago
what do you mean with styles? there is only one style that i have seen, its kickboxing.... everyone just screw the style they train and go for kickboxing.
martjalartistvannabe 2 years ago
It depends on whos fighting. You know a boxer would rape you if you tried to change hands with him. And if you dont, go to s boxing gym and try their good, great or best boxers. I did. Muay Thai was nice, it is very practical. I find boxing to be much, much harder than any art out there to master.
bbqufc 2 years ago
but it depends, i think there are no styles, there are just different ways of competing..
a boxer is not allowed to kick, a taekwondo practioner keeps their hands low because everyone kicks and so on, if they entered UFC they would both have to change their guard and stance
martjalartistvannabe 2 years ago
are you kidding me i was doing boxing then changed to kickboxing and i find kickboxing more challenging thats why i love it :D
domanixfy 2 years ago
You must have not of gotten good at the sweet science then. I am a good kickboxer and boxer as well, but boxing is much more technical.
bbqufc 2 years ago
how exactly??? and yes i am rather good at both not blowin my own trumpet but i won alot of matches as a boxer but i love kickboxing and have won more there but i find it trikier and more technicall than boxing because you basically learn boxing and kickboxing at the same time...

World best martial art is........Umpa LumpaJutsu...
Taurus8763 2 years ago
Muay thai IS the best ever..
thats just a plain and simple fact. Others are good. Some very good. But muay thai just fucking crushes the opposiiton
Moderm101 2 years ago
Kind of. A boxer would knock anyone the fuck out if they tried to exchange with hands though. To beat a boxer you would have no choice but to kick knee and clinch. Nobody could fuck with a great boxer with measly primitive punches, and if that kick misses, watch out.
Grappling arts have potential to beat boxing and muay thai as well.... vice versa.

the best martial art is hand to hand combat for 12 or 3 n jodo ,ji jutsu are good for 1 people . the world best martial art is sholin kung fu not kung fu but pure sholin kung fu

a 5"3 110 pound sholin monk or a 6"5 275 pound American Wrestler? just think about it.
t9troupe 2 years ago
no matter wat is it" the old is gold' . wrestler maybe strong but sholin tchnique is best for fighting n sholin hav power tooo. cuz of there daily traning. n true sholin people r less in this world nowdays. the birth of alll fighting skillls is sholin with secret skills
1aloneful 2 years ago
local daily training? or training all over the world for wrestling plus wrestlers are exposed to every style and body type and situation. so they training are not better. One more thing since they are monks. i dont see them making babies hince killing off they own potential. Im starting to think a high school level wrestler can take on a sholin master. jk
