In ORIGINAL NFS u couldn't tune cars. (U'r talking about Undergrounds and Most Wanted and Carbon and whatever there are novadays). Those first NFS games were pure racing games. And if I remember correctly NFSIII Hot Pursuit was first NFS where were polices. (Oh, that game is legend :P)

That has nothing to do with the original NFS anymore i loved to tune the cars and upgrade them myself but this is like a normal racing game NFS was famous for it'T illegal street racing and tuning and not for beeing just another racing game :(

that's so not true. original NFS games are from 90's, and the first ones had nothing to do with tuned cars. i still remember driving mercedes, lamborghinis and ferraris on that games.
