  • Ah I thought it might have been. Its beautiful. I love parlour guitars. Thanks again.

  • Great stuff. What an education. What guitar is that? It has a lovely tone.

  • @BlindEarl Thanks. The guitar is a Washburn parlor. Their 125 anniversary model. A copy of the first guitars they started making in late 1800's.

  • This is just great and my favourite version of the song (certainly the best here on YouTube). The others all seem over cooked and too fancy; this is stripped back and haunting. Love it!

  • hey .. my favourite style of music ... the real blues sounds great

  • Just great! Am getting this guitar tomorrow! Your performances are great too. <3

  • absolutely fabulous- thanks

  • Very good. Which strings do you use on this pretty parlor guitar ?

  • Thank you. I use John Pearse acoustic - Set #600L

Phosphor, Bronze Wound, Light Gauge. I like John Pearse strings and use them on my mandolin and banjo too.

  • wow! that's some great blues playing (on a beautiful guitar, at that). I've been thinking of buying that Washburn, myself, actually. I assume you like the way it plays?

  • Great job! Kind of has that Norman Blake sound! Awesome . . . 5 stars!

  • Thank you Bill. You're much too kind. Actually Blake is one of my absolute favorites. He and Doc Watson. But I know that I am nowhere near their skills on the instrument. But I try my best.
