At the beginning, you said someone told you that there'd be more automatic sequence if you brought Celes along. Well no, bringing Celes along doesn't do anything extra or different.

the statue in the basement changes odin to raiden if memory serves odin teaches quick and raiden teaches meteor it might not be acuret it's been a while since i played the game myself

you're ALMOST right hehe, the statue in the basement does change Odin to Raiden, however Odin teaches meteor and speed+1 or 2 at level up, and Raiden teaches Quick and Vigor +1 or 2 at level up (Its been a while I can't remember if it was +1 or +2, but either way ya)

you have to move 5 steps down from the thrown to do something i think. Terra is powerfull by the way.

Oh, and Locke should equip another shield, as it looks like Water is doing massive damage. With the Blue Dragon coming up, Locke will fall rather quickly. Let's see... was that the Flame Shield on him?

he doesn't have a shield lol, Sabin does though. Locke has Ragnarok + SOul Sabre

If you want fewer random battles change your party leader that perfume is deadly.

YAY! The Offering! An amazing relic! Anyway, there is a doorway in the top right corner of the room which leads to a couple of treasure chests. The "secret entrance" you're looking for is along the right wall of this room. The other secret is five steps down from the right throne. That will unlock a secret in that other room and a boss battle! Sorry I tend to ramble on, but this is my favorite game of all time, so I know a lot about this game. I must have played through it about 40 times!

oh ya! that sounds about right, I knew there was something with those thrones, but its been so long so my memory was kinda fuzzy. If memory serves it opens up the basement level where a statue is that "does something" and the dragon

Hence the trigger. Go to Figaro and resurface. A researcher in the Library will set up the flag to the treasure room.
