this is cool, but the one thing i noticed when using it at harvey norman, (a big retail store in australia for u americans) i tryed fast typing one handed, and since im somehow good, i can do it about half to 3/4 as fast as normal typing, but since i was typing that fast the response on the touch screen wasnt quick enough and it missed heaps of letters.

upgrade the touch screen and i might consider buying it :)

Have you seen it perform? It takes it a full three seconds to determine if its being held at a different angle - every time you change it! And the specs, it has 4 to 5 hours of battery time, which is pretty short if you ask me. It would be worth it if it was more responsive and last longer.

Too all those who miss the point of this. No it isn't a laptop nor is it a tablet. It is the melding of the two. It is a compromise between laptop and tablet. Offering more view space and power than a tablet. While also being more compact than the average laptop. It really fits best in the netbook genre. And yet, its more than a netbook. While it is far from perfect, it is a beginning. Yes they should have added some things. It is still completely unique and forward thinking. Good job Toshiba!

actually....Apple are winning....but only because they are the only ones in the race at the moment...however, windows 7 is turning into quite a monster. The amount of devices and form factors turning up in shops because of windows 7 is astonishing.

microsofts track record for playing catch up is impressive. Bing, ZuneHD, xbox, WP7 are all compelling last minute competitors... I am sure that the windows 7 tablets will be just as impressive when released.

Windows 98 was just a failure at life - anytime you need to release a second edition you just need to throw it out and admit defeat. Mr Toshiba, the ipad cost twice less. i know u dont get the full OS with the Ipad but think about it, on a device that small, what will the consumer really use it for except Mail/surfing and a few limited apps, Ipad gives you all that for cheaper and with a superior user experience and apps variety, im no apple fanboy, just sharing my point of view
