  • What was the coin bend trick?

  • I have the same illusion set...

I have the book the cards and some matches from home.

  • Link doesnt work

  • i saw string!!!!!!!!!!

  • pause at 0:51

  • 720p... I can see each individual "invisible" string in glorious HD

  • at 0:18 you can hear the quarter hitting another coin

  • i thought the product was a realistic hand shaped steel glove...

  • If you look carefully, from 0:24 - 0:25, you can see that he throws the first (unbent) quarter forward past the camera. You have to watch it a few times to see it, though.

  • I'm pretty sure the matchstick one just uses magnets and a pin. The trick is too simple to warrant strings.

  • @enterdamatrix444 Actually, if you look closely, you can see the very thin plastic rods that when the card is bent they bend upwards holding up whatever object.

  • Saw the strings! HD do not benefit magic tricks lol

  • lol the floating match trick is simple. he uses two strings on each sideto hold the match.i distinctly saw it when i paused at 0:54 .

  • it looks like the rods are attached to rubber bands or something because after he lets go at 0:24 his sleeve pops out as if the rods are flying back in

  • that for $2.99...quite a waste.

  • WITCHCRAFT!!! WHAT IS THIS BLACK-MAGIC?!?!?!?!?

  • lol at certain parts you can see the magicians "I.T" invisible thread on the card

  • NOW I CAN IMPRESS THE FUCK OUTTA JU- I mean, my crush

  • I saw the strings but why the quarter?

  • Hold on a second, Rubbish? R u brtsh or somefin?

  • @theanikanator: ALSO, ALSO, ALSO. Uhm, I refuse to take advice from someone who uses "like" as a noun. You sir, grow up... and get a vocabulary. Like totally.

  • @ElvisPresley2424 Not to sound like an asshole or anything, but what is the name of this disorder? I can understand typing backwards, due to dyslexia or something... but not being able to type straight for more than 5 words sounds like pure rubbish to me- as I've never heard of such a thing. and also... backspace... it helps.

Also also: @theanikanator- Why is it, then, that -YOU- are the only one who can't see said string? 720 it and watch again. I saw it before reading the comments. :/

  • @iPsyenz that elvis24 something guy is faking it. if you see his recent comment activity's on his channel, he types fine on other videos.

  • @b4ylonwrath Hence the reply.

  • Stop at :53 - :55 there are 3 pieces of string.

  • How about you all stop judging on whether or not it's fake and buy the kit and try it out for yourself? Like grow up. Your little attempts at claiming you see a string on the card or a piece of plastic, unless you have this intricate program that can sincerely seek that out then shut up. Your eye site is clearly bionic if you see said "string".

  • @theanikanator My eye site is horrible and I can clearly see that there are pieces of small string on the card holding the stick up. Try watching it in fullscreen 720P. It is nearly impossible NOT to see the light catching the strings.

  • you can see the sttrings on the card holding the match up

  • I'll have you know, that i hafe a disordr, tht wnt lit meh taip strght fer moar dan 5 wrds

  • Comment removed

  • @ElvisPresley2424 i'm sorry but,WHAT.

  • so sad, you can see the strings on the card around 0:44

  • @LannyHatesThisSite lol there are no strings. I got the kit and it didn't include strings.

  • Sorry guys but you can see the piece of plastic on the card...

  • At first I thought I was listening to Stuff You Should Know.

  • All you who think he already had a marked coin in his left hand or that he uses strings, fail so incredibly hard.. haha

  • Give the guy some credit, cuz if u cnt do better, dunt enslt hem, k?

  • @ElvisPresley2424 Please take the extra 5 seconds to type properly.

  • @ElvisPresley2424 dude, that was like a devolution of the english language

it started off fine, then turned into tween/text message format, then became almost unreadable gibberish lol

  • @ElvisPresley2424 .....WHAT

  • yeah at 0:18 you can hear the rods clicking and at 0:52 you can see the strings, this is such a lame video :/

  • cool

  • WTF!?!?!?!?!?!

  • At 0:24 he hides the coin in his palm...then takes it out of his plam. How much do you wanna bet he had anther coin(premarked) in his palm?

  • May the Force be with You.

  • @monizzle415 The dude in the video is better than you...

  • Life was better when we used to believe this stuff. Look how grumpy and desperate some of you have become.

  • well, you guys obviously are not magicians.

  • 0:24 pay attention to the sleeve on the left, it moves randomly

  • epic fail

  • The fact that everyone has to point the trick out means you thought it was mind blowing to begin with. You people better be 11 years old...

  • 0:44 strings

  • @XxrobbyxX7622 Plastic wouldn't shake like that. You can also see the strings. There are three of them, going across the card.

    I have eyes.

I think I know what I'm talking about.

  • I see what you did there...

  • Fake sides to the quarter you can hear the sliding "CLICK"when he pushes them on, also pause exactly at 0:54 and you can see the strings on the card holding the match up.

  • you can see the rod indentation that is used to bend the coin, also the little slot the coin slips into is able to be heard when it clinks with the quarter right when he puts it on

  • 0:49 you can see the strings

  • When i bought the flying match trick a got no strings, and the instructions says nothing of strings. Its either a really great trick or i got ripped off

  • it's a shame they used such a high quality camera that you can see the strings on the card

  • Saw the strings, don't zoom in so much.

  • i think the match trick used magnets and the match was also a magnet... tell me if im right so i can feel smart.

  • @shadowblur14 nope, strings

  • @MrHaaxMan aww man! now i feel dumb

  • @shadowblur14 nope. When i got it it was only normal cards and a match

  • @shadowblur14 Can't you see like the ten strings that are pulling up the match?

  • @nacholu28 no... do i like... fail now... or some...thing

  • @shadowblur14 Yes,yes you do.

  • @nacholu28 OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooh

     I see now

  • I see comments that it's too pricey that don't include info on alternate provider. You get three of the cards; that's $2 each. Think you can make one of these for less including cost of the magician's thread and your time, even if you only charge at minimum wage?

  • 720p and fullscreen and I could see the thread, but WOW I never thought of it like that.

  • guys i bought this and i'll tell you right now there's no wires involved

  • Each of these for only the low low price of 6 fucking dollars? lol

Thinkgeek is way WAY Too pricey.

  • @worksa7 it comes with 3 matches and a card for it, stop acting so cheep

  • @97shawtay

Exactly, and they want 6 bucks for it. It's not that this is so bad, it's just the comparison scales the same way with everything on that site, if you locate it elsewhere it is often around half the price. Don't get me wrong, I love their original stuff, just not the re-sale things.

  • For anyone who can't see the magician's thread just blow the screen up to Full-Screen and the thread will stand out like a sore thumb.

  • I see what you did there

  • Comment removed

  • daaahhhh i saw the wires

  • Wow those string couldnt be any more visible unless they were glow in the dark

  • Comment removed

  • fail yall suck

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! it's not magic hahaha111!

    idiots.

  • Epic Fail! xD

  • strings D:

  • the ring is gold on 1 side and silver on the other lol..

  • at .25 he tosses the unbent coin out of the field of view of the camera, this wouldn't work for any inquisitive live audience member.

  • @TheDukemallan Actually, he tosses the device he used to bend the quarter. At about 0:17 you can see him "snap" something onto the coin just behind his fingers. He's actually bending the quarter.

  • 0:53 its nylon thread. :)

  • neat trick but saw the strings, gonna see if i can make a card like that with some extra thin wire.

  • i have the floating match thing

  • :47 look in between the the card when he folds string

  • @itsjenyoumen i saw it! there are 5.

  • icstring

  • The coin is NOT already bent, and he does not swap the coin for a different one.

The coin bend is done with two small metal rods, each with a slot cut into one end. Notice how he's only using his index and thumbs to move things around - there is one rod in each hand, which the rest of his fingers are closed around. To bend the coin, he slips the edges of the coin into the slots on the rods, and they give him the leverage required to bend it. The only "switch" is when he hides the rods after.

  • @dizzious yeah you can even see him "clip" on the rod ^^

  • Yup, If you switch to 720p and go to fullscreen you can easily see the strings on the card when the camera pans in closer.

  • you hear a click at 0:18 and strings at 0:53

  • You guys are blind. Look at his right sleeve (our left) at 0:25. The has some sort of mechanism that pulls back some plier-like tool that you could see pressing against his hands while he was bending the coin after he clips it on.

  • he puts the original coin back into his right pocket. the first coin has a different marking than the second one: the first coin has a stronger curve at the bottom pointing left. second trick is using 2 visibly attached strings.

    ouch

  • @levlobotomy the coin never leaves the screen.. ouch..

  • @limbago

    i think it does

  • @levlobotomy oh, you mean when he puts it in his hand so that he can hide whatever it is he clips on to the coin? It's nothing to do with a coin swap, it's exactly what yousefamar is on about. ouch.

  • @levlobotomy so you've changed your mind from the original post you made?

  • @levlobotomy hahaha u unintelligent stupid child. this simple trick is seemingly much too hard for your piddly brain, fool. AHAHA!

  • Comment removed

  • theres so many times where you can easily see the lines

  • 0:54 STREENGS

  • At 0:18 you can hear him clip something onto the coin - that and the several second pause with his hand offscreen makes it obvious he's using some sort of tool to bend it...

  • My fingers... they are made of STEEL!

    Neat tricks.

  • rofl at the visible invisible strings on the card... 720p ftw

  • @chaliween They even show at 480p, and probably 360.

  • how is that quarter trick done?

  • It may have been a chrome coin or a flexible tin coin.

  • @TBundy505

it's a real coin I have that trick

  • crome in his left hand is his ring..

  • HD quality is not good for magic tricks

  • pause at 0:26 just at the right spot and u can see in his right hand something large and chrome....hmmm

  • make that gut disappear and I'd be more impressed.

  • At 0:19 it looks like his hand is latching onto the quarter.

  • @Zalo10 Agreed. Something clicks in place.

  • 0:54 stringsss

  • i had the magic card trick its just invisable string

  • you can see the small string

  • Not the best magician, he revelaed too much. at 0:17 you can hear/see him clip something onto the coin.

  • 0:16 clearly hear he fits something to the coin with his right hand, then he just does lever to bend it

Try to levitate the match with another card? :)

  • @SoulRedentor Your right, but at 0:17 you here a small click like sound.

  • Gah. Does anyone know what this song's called? I want play it. D:

  • 0:53 saw the strings.

  • @paperman55555 its nylon

  • @paperman55555 too bad it's not strings xP

    it's invisible plastic shit.

  • @XxrobbyxX7622 if you look closely you can see him pinching the string with his left hand the whole time he was doing the trick.

  • @GT5Enthusiast lol, no seriously..

    it's REALLY plastic.

it's a thin piece of plastic laid over the card it's about a half an inch wide and the length is about as long as the card

when you squeeze the card together (like he did) the plastic rise up bring the match with it

    i've been a magician for 4 years

i think i know what im talking about

  • I see a string at the match.

  • Thinkgeek should at least try to get someone who is decent at sleight-of-hand to demo their tricks.

14 bucks for a metal device and some magician's thread? Well, destroying currency isn't my idea of a good magic trick, and you can get magician's thread for much less than 14 bucks, and with a little practice, you might even be able to do something INTERESTING with it, like the Fearson Hookup: watch?v=m0qOT9a_e38

  • Yeah, you can kind of hear the little metal against metal "click" as he brings his thumbs together around the coin. :/

  • I love this soundtrack x-D

  • There is some sort of tool he uses to bend the coin and as he opens his hand it flies up his sleeve probably on some elastic strap. Watch his sleeve twitch as it goes up/

  • im pretty sure I saw a penny. his right hand even goes out of view to reach into his pocket.

  • As he grips the coin, his hands make a slight jerky motion as if he slipped the coin into some socket. Which probably is the case - some sort of lightweight tool to bend the coin. Where did the tool go? My guess is through his left hand as the camera did its close-up, at the time when his other fingers opened up without no apparent reason.

And yes, the threads are visible in the card trick.

Cool, but not really worth the money. Buy some book with DIY tricks instead.

  • as many say, there are probably strings on the card, but how do they not contour the card when he does it? and if they are elastic or something, then how do the card ends not come together? and if there are strings on both sides, why is the trick never done on the other side?

  • cormin is right, ok at 0:53, hes got strings connected to the card with hs left hand. lol nice trick though

  • wha the f!

  • read the title, of course its not real.

you go to a theatre and scream at actors too?

  • very pooooor trick! a 10 year old kid can figure it out! hehe

  • if you actually took the time to go to the thinkgeek website you would know that this particular trick is specificallly for children ages 7-13....

  • lol

    u have the force 0_0

  • Ugh... the comments...

Really? It's not real magic and just an illusion? Thanks for explaining this...

  • why would you pa$ for a string?y13

  • on the coin he takes a coin out of his pocket FAKE! pause at :54 u can see strings

  • magcians thread

  • at 0:53 watch his left hand, he is holding a string

  • this is a product thinkgeek sells, the card has strings on it so u can make anything look like its floating

  • how do u know?

  • 0:53 u see the strings... i saw it while the video was playing, wasnt even looking.. i cant believe you guys havent noticed it..

  • no shit sherlock

  • WHATS THE MUSIC!? MUST HAVE

  • pause at 0:54!

    YOU SEE SMALL STRINGS LEVITATING!

  • Good catch.. if you would know, that card is also thicker.. if you look carefully, there was string attached to the card on the back, as he bends the card, it's fish line so it wont show... the match is sitting on the back of the card, and on the wire. As you bend the card, the card bends, the fish line tightens up and the match 'floats' as the line is very hard to see. lol

  • hey what is the name of this song?

  • haha, they just had to make it a high quality video xD

  • i can so see the string

  • The card trick is a thin sheet of plastic on top of the card that doesn`t bend. I guess.

  • 0:17 you can see that he puts something like a lever on the coin

  • 0:50 - when hand was above - there is small strings.

  • it's strings, i have this trick. good bar trick though.

  • I wonder where he puts the thing used to bend the coin. At 0:16 - 0:17 you can hear a metallic sound.

  • i dont see the lines

    but lame

  • he has tools for coin trick that allow him to bend it. then he loosens his grip to allow them to fall to the ground.

  • i see 4 strings

  • its called an illusion, its supposed to be fake

  • hahaha i cant see shit :P is there stringsi didnt even see it they where so clear if they where there

  • look at 0:54 you should be able to see them

  • omg i really cant see the strings XD im not blind or anything i just cant

  • i see strings...therefore you fail

  • actually at 0:54 you can see 3 thin lines
