  • AWESOME !!! she's talking to people from my university ...

one of the worlds biggest (#32 according to wikipedia) & most respected schools (#76 on the 2011 U.S. News World's Best Universities rankings, top 400) ... the University of Texas at Austin !!!

  • LOL right when I finished watching I found out it was Episode 5.

    =^,^=

  • In marin county , California , my tribe the coast miwok were one of the first people in California. Before the chumash. 20 or soiles off the coast of San Francisco we have stories about our ancestors out there. Recently they found it to b true. The farelon islands. In the ocean they found the evidence. I would like to see were my DNA stands. That would be neat.

  • Loved this series. One of my all time favorites. Huge congrats to the BBC and Alice Roberts. And thanks for uploading it to the new channel. :)

  • wow. very informative. great work BBC, Dr Alice Roberts and all those who worked on this series. Unfortunately the religious and mythological versions of human origins still hold sway. But with series like these we will get there. Someday future generations will look back and wonder how stupid we were back in 2012 when the majority believed a desert deity called Yahweh spoke the universe into existence even though there there was some pre-existing "waters". Knowledge will win. Ignorance sucks.

  • Very nice documentary. There is also an interesting theory that there have been groups of Europeans crossing over into the Americas. This theory is based on the technology of Clovis flint points and tools being identical to the one used in Europe and very different to the Asian technology. Also DNA testing has shown that a small portion of native Americans have a genetic marker found in Europeans but not in Asians. Very interesting theory. Perhaps future discoveries will shine some light on it.

  • @Vacho13 The vikings from Norway, came to Canada in 1035, they were supposed to have met the Indians, but we don't know for sure..

  • in-means not in the words in-cedible-means not-credible,look it up.

  • One could only watch the last 8min of each episode to catch the DNA evidence, except for the one on Austrialia where it is omitted. There is too much time spent on false premises.

  • @stendak But it's almost always like that i documenteries. It's annoying. At least I don't want a chronology of wrong ideas before presented with the correct ones.

  • @straffsats But i think it's good to show the process: "well, it wasn't that, so what else could explain it?" Good for people to see the scientific process. Sure, it's quicker to just state the bottom line, but it's ultimately more convincing to have it laid out like this, eliminating the other options. And it does make better "drama" for a video!

Incredible how much more amazing our real story is than our mythologies have it.

  • Wow, a creation story that got it right! Only 9:30 into but I had been thinking this AM that a split in the Siberian branch had occurred, one group going one direction, the other over the ice.

  • incredible presentation. Loved all of the episodes very much. Scientific inquiry will lead us to the truth, free from shackles of the past.

  • So, did the tectonic plate shift happen before humans?

  • @Greyhound1405 It's happening as we speak. It won't stop before the sun engulfes the earth.

  • @Greyhound1405

The current configuration of the continents was more or less the same when our ancestors left Africa, aside from the sea levels/climate.

  • SCIENCE RULES!!!!

  • Sooo, around 13,000 years ago someone said “road trip”…..I can see that.

  • Very very cool.

  • Duh it was on a boat from Israel haven't you read the book of Mormon

  • @InPursuitOfALife The documentary deals with facts & evidence not with fantasy & outdated myths.

  • @ACCSESS247 I have a suspicion that he was being sarcastic. But then again, it's hard to say on the internet.
