hi how do you make that cool sound for the bas line. i m new to ableton and don't know good how the program works so i can use some help in making cool sounds but nobody in my neighborhood works with the program. so pls explain how to make that cool sounds :D
0:29 you mention what you've did in last video, well all you did was showed how to wrap! There is nothing on how to make that effect with chainsaw bass, either I'm wrong and "How to Make Dubstep part 1/5 - Beat Warping in Ableton" is not a previous video or your are BSing the youtube
@IamMANN@KandL507 The videos in this series are 5 sample tutorials taken from the 50+ videos on the Dubstep Pro Producer course. The chainsaw bass video he is referring to isn't included in this free series. If you want to see the rest of the videos including that one please head to the site and enrol on the course. The link to the course page can be found in the description above. Sorry if that caused some confusion.
@IamMANN lol, there s a huge line of text at the start of the video that explains this is a sample from their actual course, stop acting like the internets owes you something when you are getting this for free, how bout you pay for a course and stop sucking at producing? Then come back and complain. KK thx.
@beaver12 As i said to 20Tree, the techniques learnt on the course can be applied to jump up styles of dubstep or the more rolling, dubby or melodic sounds. We encourage students to experiment and find their own unique style.
it is going to be my xmas gift to myself, July 10th, I am going to run a full Marathon, and i want to make all my own music for the whole run, to run a full marathon alone is an out of body experience but to do it with my own music, would be a defining moment in my life. thanks for offering the course im so very motivated and full of excitement
@fractalson1We think the price is a fair one, each course is taught by a professional producer, who has experience in that genre. Alongside your weekly tutorials your tutor provides 1-2-1 training where you receive bespoke, personalised feedback on your work. Therefore the time, techniques and opinion of an industry professional are incorporated into the cost, as is the research and development of our content. Take a look at the students feedback videos on our site if you have any further doubts
@xJeWdAcRiSx Yes we do. Check out our youtube channel where there are lots of free Logic tutorials. Also you can find our range of full Logic courses here : pointblankonline [dot] net [slash] courses [slash] logic-courses [dot] php
@KandL507 i couldnt understand either. im fuckin useless and wanted to know ;)
so i paused and tried to see what he had done...
what i did: right click on pattern and change to triplet grid. open the chainsaw (it sounds horrible =)) look at his operator and copy. he addes some filter, and has a 1/4 sine on it which is quite important if u want the sound to be like his. check the spread, time and so on... and then add the redux (default) and increase the downsample to 20... voila!
@20tree The techniques learnt on the course can be applied to jump up styles of dubstep or the more rolling, dubby or melodic sounds. We encourage students to experiment and find their own unique style.
If you check out the course page, you can listen to an exclusive track written by Jonny which is from the deeper end of the spectrum. He uses this as a teaching tool on the course. There is also a whole section on how to create a dub mix and exclusive production tips from the likes of Martyn.

how can I make the bass, so the wobble is exactly as long as the midi clip, as in your first bass synth?
SuperDadaist 6 months ago
@SuperDadaist set the lfo to synced
slashy04 3 months ago
@slashy04
Yes, but then I have to adjust the synced lfo-time for each single note. Not what I tried to do, but works at the end with a bit more automation.

I don't have the "operator" device in ableton.
Does this have to do with me using the 30-day trial version?
