What splashes are you using? This is a trashy type sound I am looking for even though meinl and paiste have the distortion and flamdger bell splashes. Your idea seems more afordable though. Sounds great
@Eatenbyazack5150 Their hats and crash are very poorly made but the splashes and chinas are nice, although I prefer Wuhan. I have gone through at least 3 Agazarian 10" splashes though, and I'm not a hard hitter. One of them cracked the day I got it.
It isn't a new brand, it's just a subsidiary of Wuhan. Also, those splashes don't sound ANYTHING like this. They sound like a slightly trashier Sabian AA splash.
well unless you bought it from a Sabian store(which I'm not aware of any) Then it's the store that ripped you off, not the company that makes the cymbal.
People, if he cracked it in the first day, then it HAS to have been the store's fault. Cymbals NEVER crack on the first day, unless you drop them or throw them out of a window.
i made a mini high hat out of two 8" splashes...it was awesome!!! ^-^

sabian sucks. they ripped my parents off. years ago, i got a b8 splash. the next day it cracked. and the store wouldn't take it back.

right on! don't blame the manufacturer for stuff like that! Chances are it's your impact technique that broke it too soon...work on that!
Sabiano 3 years ago 21
then dont hit so hard dumbass
drummerchris13 3 years ago 6
You could have made it too tight on the stand or hit it too hard! That's your fault
cjguth3 3 years ago
plus its b8. the cheapest sabians. they sound ok but pale in the face of the AA's and AAX's
TheNextSpug 2 years ago 2

I have great technique and am not a heavy hitter at all...it was a problem with the cymbal.

Is it a Meinl Classics China Splash 8" C8CS?
Noavaible 3 years ago
It might sound better if the cymbals were clamped down on each other alil harder.
And im pretty sure that meinl cymble is one of the Amun's.
dannyboy000 4 years ago
Ya know that you can make a simple chinese cymbal by simply turning the cymbal upside down? I saw in a book that John Otto of Limp Bizkit did it.
MINIWHEAT70 3 years ago
but thats essentially just a cymbal turned upside down, also that will clean slice your sticks in 2
plopenstien 2 years ago
i stack a 8" on top of a 10", hasnt sliced them
rpmccleary 2 years ago
your lucky. unless your hitting it at a full downward stroke. it wont slice your stick as fast but it wont be good for them
plopenstien 2 years ago
Bingo!
