  • How do you like that aluminum gun? I have the Kimber Custom Crimson Carry 2 and the aluminum frame is unforgiving if something goes wrong. Welding aluminum is possible to do but a pain in the ass if you have to fix it. I'll be going full steel or full stainless next time!

  • That CDP II gives me a chubby every time I see one.

  • so can they all have supressors ?

  • @13thmistral

    yes

  • with you recommend RIA 1911 compact?

  • CDP rules

  • Good gun!

  • HOW GOOD IS THE PARA ORDINANCE WARTHOG? 10 + 1 CAPABILITY AND VERY COMPACT.

  • 3 inches ... what ?1

  • those are badass

  • Can you get a suppressor for one of these? because it would be great if they could. please reply

  • uhu uhu uhu, but will it BLEND?!

  • I like the way you let the slide back easy instead of the "movie way" of just thumbing the slide catch and letting the slide slam forward. I'd feel comfortable buying a used gun from you.

  • So witch was the best? Feels like im missing the point of the video.

  • @soulis1000

we just show them to you and compare them when possible.. if you need someone to tel you what to like or what you want, you are asking the wrong people..

  • @soulis1000 there is no such thing as a "best firearm" as everyone is looking for something different. Do a ton of research, find what you like, and that will be the best for you

  • Can you actually get smaller grips with 1911 models of any kind? I know the stacking makes a difference of course but just wondered, I'm pretty new to the civilian shooting world apart from military shooting with UK Armed Forces and there, you fire what you are issued with! Looked at the Kimber weapons at a Gun Show this week and liked them a lot but I have a S&W M&P .40 that gives me a choice of three backstraps. Just picking your brains that's all folks. Bloody hell though, expensive.

  • i personally hate kimber, nothing worse than an overpriced pistol that doesnt hold its looks and rusts in no time. i have seen countless kimbers that look like shit while woking the gun shops. i have a springfield emp 40,para warthog, and GLOCK33, emp is def my fav, dream to shoot, but i carry the g33 on my hip for 357sig firepower and capacity. the warthog stays in my glove box, i like the capacity being 45, but the mainspring housing is short and hurts the hand for extended shooting sessions.

  • actually, these are kinda cute, but not as good as the regular

  • They should'nt do that, 1911's looked great just the way they were

  • Comment removed

  • Ok. Wouldn't make any difference. I'm a Springfield fan myself, but kimber sure makes a nice 1911 also. And they set the bar with their 3 inch models

  • nice video, but u must be a little partial to kimber eh?

  • @kimberandkenpo

    not really

  • You really cannot go wrong with any of the compact .45 1911-types out there. I have an older .45 Colt Officer's ACP /Series 80 and it is my carry gun. Also, it is as accurate offhand in standing weaver, kneeling, and prone positions at 12-15 yards as my full size Springfield Armory .45 M1911A1 service pistol. I keep both loaded with 185 grain .45 ACP Remington JHP.

  • The only problem with this video is that it makes me extremely jealous to see all of those beautiful 1911s and they're not in my posession...

  • they also come in "stainless" frame and slide, which i like.

are these ultra's heavier than the ppks .380? they look bigger too???

  • @leeradio13

If you like the feel in hand of the ppk you'll love the 3" Kimbers, and you'll get a more "serious" or deadly weapon. I'm a big fan of all stainless and i wanted a Sig Sauer 226 Elite Stainless, but have yet to find one. (Much heavier of course.) The aluminum frame, steel action Kimbers, Ultra Carry II or Crimson Carry II, are very attractive all metal guns, only 2 or 3 oz. heavier than a ppk!

  • @RU3YJB thanks for the reply. btw, you must have a ppk, is that why you replied to me?

  • @leeradio13

I chose the Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry II. I still have that Sig Sauer 226 Elite Stainless on my wishlist tho. I just can't get excited about polymer.

  • @RU3YJB same here, i prefer all stainless steel but i'm all crazy about the s&w 327 pc 2 inch barrel. decisions, decisions...

  • Kimber's 1911s rule, any size.

  • I love the feel of kimbers. They look nice too. But they dont shoot for shit in my opinion. And for the price of 1 kimber i can get and AR-15 or an AK-47 with a load of ammo. Hell i can get a taurus for around 300-400 and a shitload of ammo for it. These things are junk and a ripoff. Dont waste your money unless your some diehard 1911 fan.

  • @Radion561 I am fully confident you don't have a clue about Kimbers. The reason for that is because when I went to the range with my friend who knows far more about guns than I, he fired my gun and was extremely impressed. Prior to this trip he went to the range with a different friend who owns a full size Springfield 1911. My Kimber, in 4" size, shoots far more accurate than that Springfield. I respect Springfield but just saying, nothing but awesome feedback on Kimber.

  • @Noremorse10 Im talking about the kimbers with the 3 inch barrels. I hate the accuracy on them. Thats just me though. I was never real handy with a .45 since I cant really practice with the price of .45 ammo.

  • Kimbers are great, have three, two springfields and one colt, there just as good as any of them, and any gun will rust if u don't property maintain them.

  • I sure would like to get me a compact stainless II if they didn't sell out so damn fast. A dealer told me there are no more new Kimbers left for '11. SUCKS! And used ones are hard to find and people want to charge way more than what I know a dealer would charge for a new one!

  • Comment removed

  • I have the ultra cdp 2 with laser, man it's fantastic. Expensive yes but worth the money. Who got money buys the best "Kimber" the rest of you buy cheap guns and complain about Kimber because you don't have money to spend!

  • Great overview of those 3-inch barreled 1911 options! Thanks for sharing man! :)

  • Thanks for the review, it's nice to see them all at once, even better than Kimber's website.

  • Nice Guns there where can i get one ?

  • I want that third melted down aluminum 1, ive held that 1 personally n it is sooooo comforttable, and its a 45. !!! Great Gun

  • Love these guys! Thanks again.

  • Gorgeous collection

  • would you say that either option feels thinner?

  • you like nickel plated or the back finish better

  • god dammit i wanna kinber but are there any compact 1911's for less than 500 buck

  • @wolfy46552 Hate to say it but that is nowhere to be found. I got lucky and found out there is a major Kimber dealer in my state. I'm actually going down the street today to pick up my new compact II that shipped in from said dealer. Payed 850 for it which is good considering what most dealers and private sellers are asking for it.

  • so what are the overall lengths of these

  • These compact M1911s look like they will be right for me. For some reason, I'm not a big fan of the compact polymer handguns. Are the compact Kimbers nearly as expensive as the full size models?

  • @Delta094204

Yup.. less metal but same cost, LOL

  • i have the ultra carry how does it compare to a colt defender im looking at thse to carry also ive never seen one until i was looking online not in stock though would i be wasting money getting one to replace my kimber

  • kimber is not high end...but nice vid

  • I just don't like 3" 1911s.

  • @hackman1911 browning's design for the 1911 was NEVER intended for a 3 inch barrel. Most "officer" sized 1911's are in no way reliable for defensive use regardless of the marketing bullshit the manufacturer's preach. the commander and government sized 1911s are the way to go.... you want 3 inch barrel go with a design intended for short barrels example glock 26

  • @hackman1911 u r an idiot.

  • @tavspop Because I don't like compact 1911s?

  • @elitesack you'd be better off with a sub compact Glock Chambered in 45. ACP because it's cheaper, has a great barrel and it's very durable

i'm not saying the sub compact 1911 are bead but they're just not that good for concealed a carry

  • This guy is doing some nice reviews, that can really help some with choosing a gun.

How is someone so rude, that they dare to call others some names??I'm only beginner, but this guy knows his toys.Thank you for good work!!

  • @checkie4ever it dont take much to make a video of pullin slides back and speaking about obvious ergonomical aspects. You wanna review? go shoot the damn things and put them through some tactical paces. You won't be so impressed with 3inch 1911s then.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES

Big talk from a guy with 12 videos, and NONE of them include what you claim a review "should" have..

so DO something, or quit talking on our vids.. go act tough on your own comments..

  • @GunWebsites yea. How many you tube videos one has is the sole defining aspect of one's skill sets tight. Nevermind working in an armed profession, combat veteran of ten years service in the army, and a competitive IDPA shooter. 3inch 1911s are unreliable and gimmicks. dont care if you like it, that is how it is.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES. Working in an armed profession? haha what are you? a security guard at the local mall. Not everyone is a "competitive IDPA shooter". I have an Ultra Carry II and it has been perfectly reliable and never jammed. This video is meant to help people that are not "competitive shooters" because 3" 1911's are used for personal protection not "competitive shooting". Everything else aside, I do appreciate your decade of service but I thought you would have picked up humility

  • @jshumphress couldn't care less what you appeciate. Didn't do it for you. Your mall comment was funny though, wound have been funnier in person though, doubt you would have said it then.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES troll else where.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES Dude, you just need to get over yourself, do some research and realize that every gun has it's purpose. You're bullheaded, arrogant and you sound like one of those damn 1-upping story tellers to me.

  • @GunWebsites wow,you sure showed me huh.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES Oh. It "don't", don't it? Well, here's a tip. You learn to speak proper English, and I'll listen to what you have to say. Not until. How'zat suit you? It "don't" really matter - that's how it's going to be.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES Burned

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES The three inch models are more than fine im assuming you have absolutely zero expierience due to your dislike for the shorter barrel, LOL what a impractical statement, I shoot 2" groups all day with a 3" @ 25 yrds. Where's your research on a statement like that????

  • @checkie4ever

    Thanks for your support

  • i got a kimber cdp thats fucked up. it fires three rounds when i squeeze the trigger once

  • @CREWDOG289

That is a felony, I would get it fixed asap

  • @GunWebsites lol

    no............. its called a malfunction.

  • @Rangulojr

Yea, you never heard of "melted down" yet I am the amateur ..

Watch other channels they are much better and you won't have a conniption when you watch them, we won't miss you.

  • @GunWebsites ..u might as well as block Rangulojr..he is a fucking troll with nothing better to do..worthless human being..

  • @GunWebsites you whiped his ass

  • if you are going to get a 1911 you have to get a Colt 1911

  • @MDCdrift damn i wanted a kimber but because you said so. lol jk

  • I own a few full size 1911'.So I'm not a hater. From the amount of failures I see and hear at the range I would'nt want to stake my life on one of them. There are too many better and less expensive options.Keep up great videos.B.B

  • @bentbike

Thanks.. I feel the same way

  • @bentbike ...3" Kimbers are as reliable as sub-compact Glocks when you have broken them in. I sold a G 27 that had more failures than any Kimber i own.

  • @frei1furimmer I have a Kimber combat that has been through the pro shop.I love it.I have a Ithaca and Rem.Rand from WWII.(Dad and Uncle) and a Para GI. I really enjoy them. I still feel a gun that needs to be held in a very specific way to operate properly is not a good self defence weapon.BUT that's why there's so many guns out there,so we can all have what we like.Peace BB

  • Oh wait never mind, I did my research and those lil guns can cost a ton of money. I've seen some on this one gunsite for about $1,500 and that right there is crazy. I could buy a new AR-15 with that much D=. Man that's a lot. Well I was looking into some CZ 40s and people seem to like them. I might get one of those, Have guys ever did a video on a CZ 40?

  • @DavinDaGeek

Only shot them at the range, never owned one, so I could do a review but can't offer much experience

  • @GunWebsites Cool, if you can get a hold of one and give us a run down on it and how it shoots would be super helpful. And do you think you could make a video on buying a first carry handgun and some options out there for people, I know there are a ton of videos like that out there, but I would like to hear it from you, and what you think. Thanks =)

  • @DavinDaGeek Ok you well could by a brand new AR 15 but you could NOT Conceal Carry the AR whereas the 3" 1911 you well could... right?

  • @NapFloridian Yeah, but I can't shoot a person, bear, raging elephant, dear or target from 200 and more yards with ease using a 3 inch 1911. But I sure can with an AR 15. and I can do the same thing with a $400 Glock 32 with out spending the same amount of money as a used car for a super high price gun.

  • @DavinDaGeek lol that comment had a mistake in it. I wonder if anyone can find it. >.>

  • Oh baby, I was looking at some of your videos on your handguns and revolver videos, and then I came across this, man those are some beautiful guns. Man I would make one my first carry weapon, however I am worried about the pricing. Would you recommended one of these pistols as a first carry weapon? I just hope they don't cost $900 and up. That would stink if they do xD.

  • Do you know of any reliable after market mags for the kimber ultra carry cpd 9mm?

  • @Vincefishing4ever

I am not much of a 1991 guy, but I do know quality mags are a must. I'd stick with name brand

  • Very nice

  • what caliber are they?

  • Those four guns are worth more than my car.

  • @Letsmakeasamich U need a better car!

  • @Letsmakeasamich LMFAO

  • I have ALL FOUR of these guns and a whole lot more, and I'll tell ya, my "New Agent" and "Defender" are the TWO I like the MOST - GO COLT!!!

  • theyre all to chunky for ccw

  • @reallysecretusername they are chunky but its just something ppl are willing to give up for the power and reliability of a 1911

  • i prefer the pro carry but the ultra is still pretty nice

  • This video needs a Colt New Agent.

  • I agree. I love my new agent. trench sights took a little getting used to

  • Nice 1911's, i am in the market for a 3 inch 1911. Been looking at the Para Ordinance Hawg 9mm double stack. Can't find much of any reviews on this one. What is your intake of the P-O brand. R they reliable & built w/ quality? Thanks

  • Keep 'em comin' GW!

previous comment not intended to provoke or flame

    Just my thoughts.

  • okay, here is probably where I get beat up. Now remember guys, we all have our own tastes. I watched this vid last night, and was thinking," hmm?"

After hiking on the AT today, I stopped at Cabelas. Now, this is me, a plain and simple guy. I didn't even hold one of these cause I couldn't get past the looks. lol, yeah, let's use the Cadillac comparison, like when they had big fins and fancy chrome, and pizazz, They are just too much for me. I do not doubt the quality or your tastes. Thanks!

  • I'd have to disagree. Every "fancy" feature adds tactical functionality to the weapon. Except maybe the the two tone. I'm perfectly happy with an all black weapon.

  • id rather have a Springfield EMP...

  • hmmm, an Electric Magnetic Pulse Pistol? that would be cool, LOL

  • but not very effective against a criminal...ha ha

  • wait till we have criminal robots though ..

  • It stands for Enhanced Micro Pistol...the EMP's are great little guns and they shoot great, but I've always liked the 3" 1911 in .45 ACP. One thing the Kimber Ultra CDP II comes with night sights from Meprolight

  • what is the cal. at all?

  • All of these are .45 acp

  • smith and Weston 500 is one of my favorites

  • the cdp2 looks so beautiful.

  • Kimber melt down is a great carry gun !

  • I would not buy one of those, to small.

  • Doesn't one loose the velocity to needed to achieve what is expected of the 45 round when shooting in less then a 3 1/@ inch barrel? Might as well carry 9mm or 40 if less then 31/2 barrel? Your thoughts.......

  • Yes, for every cartridge, depending on weight of the bullet .45ACP (.230gr bullet)

which tops out on 950fps, on the other hand, if you have a 3.5in barrel you wil not get a full powder burn, which also slows the projectiles velocity. It really does't matter in a 25ft, or less engagement. The projectile will still keeps its stopping power at that range, even if its a 3.5in barrel, or a 5in barrel.

  • Great video and great tool, thanks for letting us know about it

  • Id take a S&W 1911 Subcompact over all of those =)

  • we didn't have one to include, but I know where to get one.. I'll do a review of it as soon as I can

  • Ill be on the look out =)

  • I carry Glocks,, but handling all these 1911s today made me start thinking about these a bit more.. they are very nice pistols

  • kimber ultra carry 2 owner.......its a great gun ya'll... it also has low recoil springs.

    highly recommendif your looking

  • Nice collection there. Thanks for including the Para Ordnance.

  • Is there also 1911s who are longer than the original one?

  • awsome vid

  • thanks, we have a few more on the way too

  • Cool. I never knew they made 3 in 1911.. I was in the market for my 1st gun (for carry) and now I have even more to choose from *sigh* decisions, decisions

  • Kimber FTW!!!!

  • but which one?

  • Ultra Crimson Carry II. Love that gun!!
