YAY I LIVE HERE!!!! I GO TO NOVA HIGH SCHOOL! YAY! Visit The Vera Project and all ages venue that has anywhere from local bands to really popular bands! Seattle supports musicians better then most places and young musicians too! So does NYC!

Seattle is awsome!!! You got snow sports 1in a half hour away boating 10 mins away plus you have a beautiful city. beautiful weather not to hot not to cold...Why wouldnt you want to live here?

Rains too much? Forget those fucking Hollywood movies, it rains mildly not even that often. Although, it gets cloudy, the springs and summers are beautiful.

Awesome culture and just full of intelligent people. Considering Microsoft, Nintendo, Verizon, Starbucks, Boeing etc. all have corporate offices here.

Very liberal and very outdoors friendly activities around the city and the PNW in general. Snow sports in the Cascades, awesome boating in the sound and lakes, biking

New York gets more rain than Seattle. Summers are fine winters can be gloomy but the rain is usually just a drizzle.

Why would you want to go there. It rains too much downtown Seattle is nice, but the rest of the city not really.

My guess is that you have not spent much time in Seattle. Seattle is a city of hills and neighborhoods; I live in the Montlake neighborhood. Getting out of downtown and exploring is the best way to experience the city. There is water & boats everywhere & views of the Cascades, Olympics & Mt Rainier. The University of Washington is another must see, it's the most beautiful setting for a University campus in America. The ship canal, the arboretum, all the museums - and that's just inside the city!
