i tried tornado before but failed for 2 hours, then i switch to a-10 .1 time i succeed

thought there is experience come from tornado.

shoot them from the top of the back instead of the front. it is easier to maintain the same speed . get a little bit higher around 15000 feet.

a-10 get higher def so u can survivein the missle

I was going over it and I figured out the trick of why its so tough, I scored hits only when I hit the point where the red target thing is. So not only do you have to aim for the narrow slit, you have to hit an EXACT POINT on that narrow slit. You're right somebody at Namco REALLY wanted to piss us off.

I've found that the issue was more proximity than angle. When I was nose to nose with the Aigaion and gunning at the cockpit from any downward angle I hit it every time. When I say nose to nose, though, I mean 3-5 meters off the nose of the craft. Any further than that, and I was 100% unable to damage it.

its all well and good when you do this and (eventually) get results, but id have to say the hit detection itself was shit, even though i managed to only hit it a few times (never killed it with mg's on normal) most of them werent in that black line, infact most that hit got it from the same position as the ace cockpit or strangely enough above and behind, nealry parralel vertically with the craft.

Ok so it's now 12 hours, managed to shoot it down 4 times now, and each time I get nailed by missiles which force me down to crash into it. Namco can suck my balls.

At least it only took you 3 attempts. This machine gun medal has so far taken me 10 hours just on the Aigaion. Namco Bandai has left such an awful taste in my mouth that I will never buy their games anymore. Move over Left 4 Dead, Namco Bandai is now the KING of fucking over it's customers.

To all just go into cockpit mode or first person mode or what ever you wanna call it and do it that way. A little bit easier than doing it in third person because the little line you have to shoot at is much easier to see.

The reason you weren't doing any damage is because you weren't aiming at the cockpit. The Aigaion seems to have a decoy cockpit, the real one is located on the roof of the hanger, hanging down.

@pilot7893 Look at the video title. This is on Normal difficulty, and the cockpit is exactly where I was shooting. I tried to shoot where you were saying just now (on Normal) and it got me nowhere.

You're thinking of Expert and Ace difficulties, because the cockpit is located - just like you said - in the roof of the hangar further back. If you watch the video that this is a response to, then you'll see.
