Upload : 0.64/ 640 kbps

Location : Compton California

Bill ; 50 with phone & internet..

Any reasons why my upload slow?

@OZ31K Hi, currently you're internet is on the standard at&t internet. I got tired of only downloading at 70 kb/s and finally upgraded for 15$ a month more. The reason why you're is so slow is because you pay less so AT&T sends you less internet. The more you pay, the more they give.

anywhere upward of 1.0mbps is considered "high speed" if you see on your computer connection speed "100mbps" that's only your LOCAL speed, which is your cable link speed. If this were your actual WAN connection speed, you're probably paying thousands for your connection.

And this is a more accurate method of determining your actual theoretical throughput based on your connection speed.

Mbps = 1.000 Kbits/s or 1.000.000 bits/s

Byte = 8 bits

Kilobyte = 1024 bytes or 8192 (8 x 1024) bits

I really hate atnt for their poor ass service.They were working on the lines instailing em for their Uverse service. Well the guy who was doing it forgot to turn my net back on, took 5 days for them to get out here and fixed it.I lost connection so many times and couldn't run my notebook wireless on it.It was nothing but a chore for me.I went with comcast bought the Blast service 21mbps which is 2.5mb a sec.Downloading is fast as hell very happy about it. can watch a HD movie w/o buffing.

I have dsl pro too. When i speed test it the max i ever get is 2.54 mbps. divide by 8 (a byte is 8 bits) and that makes 317kb/s. I'm fine with that, but it keeps slowing down to 195kb/s. i call them and they say they can't figure what's wrong. after i hang up, it goes back to normal. AT&T is bullshit. they rip off their customers and the service has problems too. their modems suck elephant boners and their customer service is worse than McDonalds.

lucky you I have done multiple speed test on different sites and my downloads rarely ever breaks 600kbps and my upload is around 400kbps. There is no way in hell my download should be so close to my upload speeds, especially on a so called 3.0mbps at&t pro

for that price u should be getting the highest package! My family pays 25 bucks a month and get same as yours! so ur getting ripped off or something in ur line is wrong! You should be getting 6.0mbps and ur getting alot less! Att in my opinion rips off its customers! I would switch or tell att to fix my line! Cause 1.5mbps is way tooo low if ur paying that much! they are stealing ur money! If they wont fix it then yea switch and tell att that they will loose customers if they dont fix it!

Infamous the 1.32mbps is fine! Its NOT MB/ per second but megabits which means u are getting the right speed! i have 1.5mbps and getting 150 to 150kb which is right! IF u get 10mbps that will equal to 1/MB a second its complicated but basically u are getting the right speed! You want 1/MB when downloading Id recommend getin internet that is 10mbps which when u download it will say 1/MB so if u get fios u will get like 10 to 20mbps which is 1/MB download and 2/MB download respectively! So ur ok!

@vinh32y its good dude. the higher the better. and at&t is pretty good for gaming. not alot of lag, ther may be lagg if someone else is on the computer but other than that there is no lag. at&t is really good for about $30 a month

If your computer cannot receive data at a fast rate, (ie. you have a slow processor, or low memory), it cannot transfer faster then that. Chances are, you have an old Windows computer. Or, a small, lite plan.

Comcast sucks in the billing department. Comcast will increase your connection from 1 or 2 times a year. It does that with my TV cable service which I am already paying about $72 a month. If I add Comcast as my ISP, then I will be charge about $43 a month for its connection. Comcast should charge me less since I can combine TV and Internet. I am afraid that a year from now Comcast will start charging $52 a month, and so on. Comcast is a greedy blood sucking company. Be warned!
