Am I the only one who thinks this game isn't a good idea?

The first game was amazing, one of my all time favorites. It was beautiful, unique, and nightmarish. It was also a completely self-contained experience that wrapped itself up wonderfully. Now EA, that corporate giant of gaming, has decided it needs a sequel after nearly a decade. Why? For money? Is it entirely necessary?

I'm going to end up playing it, and I would love to be proven wrong. But I have a bad feeling about it.

@lowercase21 Tim Burton actually did want to do a darker version of Alice, but the problem wasn't Disney turning it down to make it kid friendly.  I think the problem was that people were too used to Disney's cheery Alice, which unfortunatly would have made the movie unpopular.

i love it. this takes me back, 10 years ago when Alice would take me away to a better place. a place where nightmares had their own morbid beauty and skeletal cats roamed the sight.

even in my childhood i had dreams that were similar to American Mcgees envision to Alice's world. so perhaps that is why i hang so dearly to this game.

Wow! Alice has really changed her look. She has the same face, but her hair is SO pretty! I can't wait for this game to come out! I have the first one, and it's awesome.
