can't remember which seasons, but my then business and personal partner Randy Read and I scouted for talent for the show - i remember going to yuk yuk's looking for comedians ,,, fun times,...btw, not to ask for a lot, but is it possible to identify me in the reference (as opposed to 'guest') - i'm a vocal teacher / coach in Vancouver, and would be much appreciated if my students could be exposed to this video -
@altheadig1 I have changed the information in the video. You are more than welcome to share the video with your students. It's wonderful to get to know background information about the show, ie. how you searched for talent. And the guests were all definitely talented, yourself included. Thanks again for the comments
@altheadig1 No, unfortunately :) I took my Youtube nickname after Colin Mochrie, who I am a very big fan of -- Colin is a very talented person in his own right. My name is Emile.
@altheadig1 I first was exposed to Smith & Smith in the early 1990's, when it aired on the channel YTV. At the time of this particular performance on S&S, I would have been about 5-6 years old. It may have been years after the fact, but the show brought so much joy into my life. Steve & Morag are amazingly talented people, and I admire them for it.
just found this video of my singing - what i've learned over the years: expect to be compared to the original singer...if you're going to do a cover, find a song that Streisand didn't do! but it was fun reminiscing while watching this old bit ...and thank you mr mochrie99 for posting...
@altheadig1 Thank you for the comment, it was my pleasure. Smith & Smith was a very special show to me, and it's amazing to receive comments from people who were part of it. I thought your version of "Best Thing" was well done, by the way.
@altheadig1 I must also say it's amazing to be able to be hear from guests who either appeared on S&S (such as yourself) as well as others who worked on the show (Bernie LaBarge, who played guitar on Steve and Morag's songs in later seasons). It's a thrill to "meet" people who were involved in a show that meant so much to me in my younger years.
