I love this movie. It always gets ignored, and I don't know why. Even in Disney merchandise. Whenever you see the "Disney Princess Collection" line, you never see Pocahontas anymore. She is the cheif's daughter, so technically she is an indian princess. Meh.
Also, in the non-historically-accurate world of Disney, I would have liked to see John Smith and Pocahontas end up together. I didn't like John Rolfe at all. >(

@ChibiHinata6 It's not. It plays during the credits. They were going to have it, but test audiences (especially kids I think) said that it slowed down the film (which I can see why, but it's so beautiful and a shame that it to be so!).
I remember being in Banff Alberta when i was 4 and Pocahontas was in the theatres in the winter i think it was. (snowon teh ground) i remember wanting to see it soooo bad but i missed it due to hot springing and i remember being so upset.i eventually seen it tho ha ha I love this movie to this day <3
I think the thing that makes it SO intense is the fact that in the end, thy do NOT get to be together as Disney has made for all their previous Disbey couples. This song is so sad and sweet. I LOVE listening to it.

I still love Mel Gibson. I find it suspicious that she purposely recorded him over the phone just to make it seem like she's more like the victim-because she was going to reveal the recording so she acted all calm and cool over the phone. Now if the tables were turned and Mel had recorded HER, of course she would be the one yelling and Mel would pretend to keep his cool. It's like she's trying to get everyone on her side. I don't care if the movie is historically inaccurate. I know it is, so I take the movie's value with a grain of salt. And every time I do, the love between Pocahontas and John Smith gets me all teary-eyed every time, because they weren't able to be together in the end. And with the addition with this song. THIS. @ChibiHinata6 It's not. It plays during the credits. They were going to have it, but test audiences (especially kids I think) said that it slowed down the film (which I can see why, but it's so beautiful and a shame that it to be so!).

I remember being in Banff Alberta when i was 4 and Pocahontas was in the theatres in the winter i think it was. (snowon teh ground) i remember wanting to see it soooo bad but i missed it due to hot springing and i remember being so upset.i eventually seen it tho ha ha I love this movie to this day <3

I think the thing that makes it SO intense is the fact that in the end, thy do NOT get to be together as Disney has made for all their previous Disbey couples. This song is so sad and sweet. I LOVE listening to it.

I still love Mel Gibson. I find it suspicious that she purposely recorded him over the phone just to make it seem like she's more like the victim-because she was going to reveal the recording so she acted all calm and cool over the phone. Now if the tables were turned and Mel had recorded HER, of course she would be the one yelling and Mel would pretend to keep his cool. It's like she's trying to get everyone on her side. I still like Mel I don't care what people say =]

But that pic of their baby with the "bruise" it looked like a fucking zit hahaha!!! If a person let alone an adult male were to hit a baby, it would be a bit bigger than what it looked like in that pic. lol just sayunn..... =D ..I'm just glad they stopped talking about them on ET and Access shows like that..so god damn annoying.

@nddlj I was so gutted when they didnt end up together. And I was like 9 at the time! But I guess its more true to the story then, unlike other disney movies. That said, Pochohontas 2 was a real let down for me because she ended up with that other dude :(

@cornilly Yeah! Even in The New World, John Smith and Pocahontas are actually in love. I didn't watch the entire thing because I got bored of it and it was crappy quality ahah. Just goes to show, even in major motion pictures, they still don't get the story of Pocahontas right hahaha. But I do think she ends up with Christian Bale at the end. Hated Pocahontas 2, in my world it never existed. Whoa i gotz 29 thumbs up lol=)

I don't care if the movie is historically inaccurate. I know it is, so I take the movie's value with a grain of salt. And every time I do, the love between Pocahontas and John Smith gets me all teary-eyed every time, because they weren't able to be together in the end. And with the addition with this song. THIS. S-S-S-SHAKING AND CRYING.
