Fascinating to me that ALL the early recordings or airchecks of "Dialogues" are sung in the audience's native tongue, and we hear versions in Italian, German and English in addition to the original French. Nowadays the French prevails at the Met in NY and at the big European houses. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm quite respectful of schools and smaller companies that follow the composer's wish to have it sung in the vernacular.
