That's not what the Bible teaches. Everyone has fallen into sin and is therefore separated from God until they repent and believe that Jesus has died for their sins and risen from the grave, and that way recieved the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life (Heaven). Wilhelm II's conduct during WWI was not directed against believers-there were no concentration camps for Jews and Christians. It was a complex clash of four empires motivated by economic/political factors. WWII was totally different. Hitler, Himmler and Goebbles combed Europe from east to west exterminating millions of believers. It was atheists against believers. In neither war was Christianity invoked as a justification for belligerence.

I agree with you. These wars are as immoral as is my example of the elderly. True, the case could be made that Protestantized Christianity has being used for purely secular purposes by politicians. They were utilitarian philosophies cloaked in borrowed spiritual language and created as a means to an end: to foster national pride, decouple morality from God and serve as a unifying factor to strengthen war readiness and absolute obedience to a dictator.
