  • Awesome! Very great

  • you are too damn good. very inspireing my friend

  • Thank you for the tabs. The intro seems a measure too long from the studio album. But looks good :)

  • wow thank you so much, very good tabs and awesome cover!

  • wow thank you so much, very good tabs and awesome cover!

  • wow thank you so much, very good tabs and awesome cover!

  • ive been playining bass for roughly 5 years now and just started playing guitar and you have a cover of every single song i can think of that i want to learn! excellent taste in music bro!!!

  • Just gonna start and say, this is going to be a long comment.

Firstly, this is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Hardly any good (or comprehensible, for that matter.) tabs for this. Thank you so much!

Secondly, very nice acoustic cover to this song. You have some skill, my friend. keep it up.

Thirdly, quick tip, don't think I'm insulting you; bend your left hand out more, so when you hit standard chords, IE: G, C, Am, ect., your fingers are almost straight. It makes hitting them easier. =)

  • g00d

  • wow that was cool

  • That was the lead singer of shinedown lol he was playing the song in background but itcwas hard to tell

  • i can barly hear you sing in the back if thats you u i honestly cant tell your that good bro BROVO! YOUR AMAZNG

  • 1:07-1:12 I can seem to figure that out. lol

  • You are the best.

This made a tab just for us.

You guys should happy that went through all that trouble just for us.

  • Awesome bro

  • awesome

  • your tab is wrong.

  • HEY MAN, I love this because it shows one of the two things bigger people can do (im bigger to) COOK AND PLAY INSTRUMENTS!!!!

  • @Mattsh12 Yay!! ;)

  • @Mattsh12 yeah man i can play and cook too lol

  • thanks for the tab man, really really helpful

  • ok yea i see it now

  • your arm and hands look very plump and delicious

  • well first mi english is some bad

and second i dont even know about the striped version but that answer mi question tnx

  • @MrFlacoalto Don't worry about your English. Glad it answered your question. :)

  • is that a yamaha f-310?

  • @1guitar1man1 It's a Washburn D-12.

  • i have a question

what's song are you playing? the original? or the acoustic cover?

  • @MrFlacoalto I don't really get the question... I'm playing along to the Stripped Acoustic version of Shinedown's .45. Search on Youtube for Stripped acoustic 45 and you'll find that version. That was back in 2005 I believe. :)

  • this is amazing but its hard to learn this is my first song i am trying to learn on guitar

  • OH MY GOD! SOMEONE CAN ACTUALLY PLAY IT CORRECTLY! God bless you man. :D

  • Google guitar universe and click on the first link, its an awesome website with tabs and cords to pretty much any song I learned how to play this song there.this version sounds alot better though.

  • was that you singing? u sound almost excatly like Brent! u rock!

  • @CMTSOICHCSOMCFB Nope wasn't me. I only play the guitar. This IS Brent in the background. ;)

  • @FeetInTheWater oh... lol! u rock on the guitar!!!

  • You play so beautifully. I'd love to hear you do a cover of Rust by Black Label Society.

    ..And nice bracelet.

  • great job

  • im currently learning how to play this...by watching your video im feelin kinda powned lol. great job it sounded awesome:)

  • Great job! You couldn't be more spot on if you tried. My only problem is not being able to access the tabs. Trying to follow your fingers is harder than it looks. If you have any suggestions on how to get the tabs you did for this, I would really appreciate it. Again KUDOS! Nice work!

  • I got bored last night and learned this. For that quick riff thing that your sliding... Its just on the G string 0h2p

  • @Xxtitan20xX Listen to the Stripped version, there they do it. Love that version more than the album version...

  • you realy need to learn the begging but other than that it was alright i give it a low c

  • @madguitarist96 you say that... but you dont even have good videos of you playing anything like this?... just shut up

  • man ur so good.......

  • ive been perfecting what i knew of the song for about a year and a half, to 2 years, *mainly cause it was hard to find a decent tab* but your tab is great so ive incorporated into mine, given we had the beginign all the same, but ive advanced some of the things i played liek the interlude to the verse, and now i finally have an ending i think sounds good, nice tab, way to rock

  • Hey bro just wanted to let you know that i have only been playing for a couple of years as well and let me just say "Hell Yeah"!! Thanks to this vid i can also jam this song now so.....thanks man! Keep Jam'n

  • Awesome!! Thank you! =)

  • OMG I love this this is really good: love it!!!

yeah I sad love it twice so what! X3

  • You did the beginning and the middle part backwards.

  • Look for "45 Stripped" on Youtube. They're doing it that way. It's not the album version I'm covering. =)

  • ...And thank you for the tabs too. They make everything so much easier.

  • Yes, you definitely did an excellent job with this video :) You hit every note and every chord with such clarity, if I didnt know better, I'd say this was Shinedown performing in this video :) I'm learning this song right now, and this is the only vid I refer to. And for the comment below, keep practicing, and you will eventually get it down. I'm good with hammering and pulling, and I'm still working on that part of the song lol. Just keep playin', and FeetInTheWater, keep up the jammin! :)

  • @hondagolfpro Thank you a lot! I'm glad the video is helpful. =) Like I wrote before, I'm not content with the cover anymore. I think I got a lot better since then and I have a better guitar now and another technique of recording. Need to re-do this cover sometime. =)

  • i think u did an excellent job on this, i suck at the hammer on and pull off lol.

  • @sumdanielle84 Took me some time to get them right in the beginning. It all will get easier with time. =)

  • Haha, thank you. Yeah I know it's totally off beat. This was still recorded with my old guitar, too... I finally figured out how to record the guitar via the soundcard. I think I'll record this again at some point with my new set-up. Again, thanks! :D

  • this is good!! i love it!!

  • Nice simple version on the song,

you missed a few slides during the pre-chorus, and just a few other minor things, but all in all. solid performance, good job

  • perfect, man... awesome.. god bless u

  • Hey man

havent listened to ya in a while

you still kick ass, as usual

    keep on rockin'!

  • Thanks! I think I might re-do this song on my Takamine sometime. It sounds a lot better than this old guitar. ^^

  • Awesome vid 6 stars

  • Really good video man, much kudos!

    Best / Z

  • No problem. Wow, that's impressive! I wish I started that early with guitar playing. :)

  • Awesome, I was able to learn this song (not perfect it) in 1 night using your video and tab. Thank you! The only thing that might have helped more would've been a list of the song progression. If it would help anyone else, here it is: Intro Verse Pre-Chorus Chorus Interlude Verse Pre-Chorus Chorus Bridge Chorus x 3 (first run is modified) Let last Asus2 ring out (Asus2 = 0-0-2-2-0-0)
  • I'm glad it helped you. :) I'll keep that in mind for future songs. Thanks for the suggestion!

  • You looked at the tabs, right? So there you already find the chords. The d stands for a down-strum and the u for an up-strum. Read it out loud and then try to slowly play it. You stay longer on the first downs. Dooooooown-down-up-down-up- (change chord) -Dooooooown-down-up-down-up- (change chord) -Dooooooown-down-up-down-up and so on. Your strumming hand has to get used to the rhythm. How long have you been playing anyways? Maybe the strumming pattern is still a little too hard.

  • Okay, so what exactly don't you understand? The strumming pattern or the chords? Instead of picking the single notes you just start to strum and then you change the chords for the chorus and go into a ddudu-ddudu strum pattern.

  • This is really really great.

Seeing your hand actually doing the chords is much easier than reading tab or hearing it for me.

  • Thank you! Glad the video helped you! =)

  • You mean the part starting at 1:29?

  • the best ive seen .. very nice .. thanks

  • awesome video! man keep it up, I do electric so i dun think i could play the acoustic part on my guitar :P

  • Of course you can play the acoustic part. Just use a clean tone and not much distortion. ;) I have an electric guitar, too. But when I try to record it it always pretty much smashes my camera speaker since I don't have a microphone to record it. lol

  • i thought i had the same guitar too, mine is a washburn d10

  • thanks for the tabs! more people should post them that know how to play, it would really help out us beginners.

  • i swear to you i have the same guitar :D

  • Mine is a Washburn D12. What is yours? ^^

  • Washburn D12.

  • Then we have indeed the same guitars. ;)

  • It's just an acoustic version of the song. Stripped Raw and Real it's called. It was just Acoustic sessions they did, back when Jasin was still in the band. :)

  • It's the Stripped acoustic version here. Look it up on Youtube. :)

  • Thanks for all the comments guys! Really appreciate it. :)

  • WOW!!! your really good. keep up them vid's

  • Lovely! it was awesome

  • i like what you did by putting your playing to the stripped version =D sounds really awesome

  • excellent work ;) thanks for tabs!

  • Hey guys, the tab for it is in the despription now! I know that a couple of you wanted to learn this song. Have fun! :)

  • Sweet cover dude...keep it up.

  • thanks bro..ive learned the song by just watchin u

  • Glad you were able to learn it!

  • Damn Dude! that was tight!

  • I can play the intro of this!

    Great job!!

    :)

  • Thanks for the comment! :)

  • sends your tabs please good job

  • Hey sorry, I don't have full tabs for that. Got most of it on ultimateguitar, but I did the rest by ear.

  • The tab is in the despription now!

  • Wow really good :D 5* this is ..... WOW :D

  • This is a great job brother, 5/5. How long have you been playing?

  • I've been playing for about 2 1/2 years now, but never took any lessons or stuff, so it takes a little longer to get things right. I would still call myself a beginner really. Thanks a lot for the comment man!

  • this is really good..thanks alot man

  • No problem, I'm glad you enjoy it!

  • your version and the real shinedown version....sound the exact same to me...and i dont think you were off tempo at all..

  • Wow, thank you, that's a great compliment. =) This song really means a lot to me and I love playing it. I'm not quite happy with the recording sound, but that's how it came out of my camera and I was too lazy to record it again. ^^

  • haha..im wanting to sell my Ibanez i have for $300 when i get it tuned and some new strings...what do you think is the best brand of string for and ibanez would be?

  • strings are a personal choice

in my jasmine(acoustic) i play ernie ball super slinkies, beacause they produce more of a twangy, and jazzy feel

but on my bc rich platinum warlock i jam d'addario regular lights because that is my personal preference for the metal sound they help me out with

those are the two kinds i would recommend, however it all depends on what you want

i don't know what kind of music you play either

  • Couldn't agree more. Just try out some different string brands and gauges (from different prize ranges) and you'll eventually run over your favorite for the style you play. On my acoustic there's some Elixiers at the moment and on my electric there's D'Addarios. I'm still in the experimental phase though, so next time I'll chose different ones. =)

  • Thank you so very much! I'm glad you enjoy it and don't think I killed the song. ;)

  • You're great as always Rici! You and Washie makes a great couple ;-)

  • Wow, beautifull , you play very well.

    X Rita
